5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome! You must read Tremble! May 29, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Tremble, the second book in the Celestra series did not disappoint. I read it on my Kindle in one day. It was a quick and adrenaline pumping read. In this read the Counts are still out to capture Skyla, the most powerful Celestra with the purest blood. In this adventure the usual suspects return. Skyla and her boyfriend Logan, her fake boyfriend Gage, her best friend Brielle and her boyfriend Drake who is also Skyla's step brother, the ghost of Chloe, Ellis and Michelle. In Tremble things become more complicated when Marshall comes to town posing as a substitute teacher. Marshall is a Sector who has been appointed by the Counts to capture Skyla, only he has his own agenda where Skyla is concerned. Through Marshall Skyla learns that some of her friends may be enemies in disguise. The Counts may be keeping a closer watch than she initially suspected. Meanwhile, Skyla is determined to time travel in order to save her father.

This read was filled with suspense and emotion. The action never stopped and the surprises were overwhelming. The characters continue to develop. Skyla continues to grow stronger and more confident both as an angel and a girl. Some of Logan's mystery begins to dissolve near the book's end, but this only leaves you hungrier for the next installment. Gage steals the stage a little more in this read making the reader sympathize with him even more. Then there is Michelle... Wow, if you thought she was a hag before... There is so much that happens in this book, you must read it!

I give Tremble 5 stars!

I was so excited to see the 2nd book was out! This is a great series and keeps you waiting for the next book. I like Skyla's character and the issues that she has to face. She is a well-defined character, along with the others. I couldn't put this book down and am anxiously waiting for the 3rd. An amazing read and a series that will hook you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sequel May 30, 2011

I read this book in one day, and couldn't wait to get access to internet to publish my review! This book is way better than first! I loved the add of a new character, Marshall, who is so funny and not to mention trouble. I enjoyed every scene he was in and laughed so much! While I like Logan and Gauge, I can't help but wonder what type of relationship Skyla would have if she chose Marshall... I'm looking forward to the third book later this summer to see what Chloe's diary has in store for us!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Still Spinning March 12, 2012
By Dru
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Skyla's attention span is as short lived as the chapters and as mature as 14 year old who doesn't have any morals let alone common sense.

I was so frustrated with the main character I had to keep putting the book down. She loooves Logan but they can't be officially boyfriend girlfriend in public and so they come up with a plan to make it look like she's interested in someone else, enter Gage the 'beat me love me just don't ignore me I'll write you poetry to seem even less pathetic because that will win you over' seemingly good guy who is sooo into Skyla. Why? I. Have. No. Idea. She's a complete flake that can't stick to a damn thing let alone the big plan to keep her from being tortured, sacrificed -insert generic whatever discomfort-. Gage gets plenty oral attention since Skyla is sexually motivated by revenge and a few beers (I mean lemonade) stupidity. Dumb guy and dumb drunk girl = disaster. Or the fear of naked pictures. Seriously?

Skyla's emotions were fleeting too. Bipolar too a Hollywood exaggerated extreme. She feels bad for hurting Gage because she knows he likes her, but she'll still get drunk and try to take her clothes off for him. Skyla loves Logan and throws some girl in the pool for flirting with him but acts sad he doesn't visit her that night. Because you threw some girl in the pool! Remember the plan?! This of course is when she's had enough of the plan. How mature. Skyla is the 'crazy ex-girlfriend.'

Don't get me started on Marshall. Guess the author wanted to throw in an official male whore since we had several female volunteers from Skyla's besties and frenemies. Teen pregnancy or STDs should be a lesson in this series. Just Eww[...] It's all ok though because Skyla isn't have sex.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worse than the first one . . . June 18, 2011
By Jess
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I am not sure why I am one of the only people to write a bad review. The thing is, these books are based on great ideas; but the characters are shallow and the writing is juvenile. The story itself is not bad, and the plot for the most part is good. I just can't get past the shallow characters and the choppy flow of the story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Susan leach-professional reader April 15, 2013

I like the possibility of this story however the main character Skyla is nothing more than a whiney little brat that sounds more like a 12 year old than a junior in high school. The author seams rushed in writing these books. I'm hoping the others get better because it took everything I had to finish these however I do not start a series and not finish it, I feel I owe the author the chance to get better.
The problems I have with these books is that the descriptions in these books leave a lot to be desired. There is no depth in these first 2 books, for example Skyla meets Logan and 5 minutes later she is making out with him. By the end of the night they are in love. There is no leading up to anything, one minute they are talking and the next sentence they are being attacked with no explanation as to why.
I just feel like the author was inexperienced and rushed when she wrote these books. I think she needs to research how teenage kids speak in this in this time and age. And she needs to sit back and breath while writing, after all we are taking the time to buy and read these books.

Gage, Logan, or Marshall?
I would have chosen Marshall just so he would promise that Gage and Logan would always be safe, and so that he would bring my father back...but Marshall definitely wants more than he claims (hint hint lol)
