V J Chambers, you are a crazy good at keeping me up all night reading. This is the most unique young adult series I've ever read. The twists and turns in this book kept me nearly hysterical, but the Azazel/Jason love at the center of everything kept me from coming completely undone while reading this. Excellent work!!!

Love, love, LOVE!,

I'm a huge fan of the Jason and Azazel trilogy. The way that Chambers has developed and continues to develop the characters and the story is amazing. One of my favorite things is how accurately she depicts the teenaged characters. While they have been forced to grow up faster than many, she doesn't draw them as mature for their age. Yes, they have been placed into dangerous, adult situations, but that doesn't mean they've lost their teenaged minds. I love how she allows them to still hold on to who they are while growing and being able to deal with the situations that are thrown at them.

VJ Chamber has done it again. The Jason and Azazel series is brilliant. True in this book Jason make me want to smack him for not believing Azazel. But he make up for it in the in by torturing his crazy mom to save her. I am really looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Man, I love this whole trilogy. Trembling takes our heroine to some super dark places and I love the questions about what's right and wrong. I like having to think. I love how she's not only put a twist into the whole teen/supernatural genre, she;s practically broke it;s neck and create a Frankenstein version. VJ Chambers has made me one happy reader.

This is the 2nd book in the "Jason and Azazel" series. And the drama that is the world of Jason and Azazel continues. Are they good? Are they evil? I personally believe they are a little of both. I love this series by VJ Chambers because not everything works out the way the reader believes it "should" work out. But that's what makes it so good! Each book in this series just keeps getting better and better.

The Wild Ride Continues...,
This review is from: Trembling: Book Two of the Jason and Azazel Trilogy (Kindle Edition)
The stakes are higher, the heat is on, and tensions mount in book two of the Jason and Azazel trilogy. Did I mention intense? Our characters grow darker, but in typical Chambers style, darker doesn't always equal evil or bad. In fact, the definition of evil and the nature of choice and free will is at the very heart of this second book as Chambers tackles some very heavy issues for any YA book. This is what I love about her books, though. She unapologetically does not hold back. As Jason and Azazel struggle with their twin darknesses and a world that has used them and thrown them away, they must also navigate the rocky shores of teenage love. This is a tall order for any teenager, or even most adults, but when those teenagers happen to be a trained killer with anger management issues and a messiah complex and a pagan cult's goddess-incarnate-on-the-run exploring her first tastes of freedom and sensuality, things are bound to get... complicated. And dark.
This was another book I could not put down. This is another book that begs for more attention, more marketing, more publicity, more exposure. This book needs to be read. So. Once again, please tell your friends, their friends, your grandmother and her friends, and total strangers on the streets about these books. They are the rarest of finds among indie books- an original, brilliantly-executed story coupled with nearly flawless editing |
