The Airshield is a needed accessory for many types of woodworking. It works well but is hampered by an ungainly procedure to change batteries and choice of materials and construction that does not hold up to extensive use. My airshield has ended up with numerous super glued joints and replaced rivets. Perhaps the Airshield Pro is designed better but the standard airshield does not hold up to continuous use.

If you need breathing protection many hours a day, there are probably other solutions available. BUT if you, like me require maximum protection turning, sanding or routing TOXIC woods, you need this protection.

TOXIC WOOD... Really. A list of the most common are shown below. I bought this mask after I had bed respiratory complications of my existing seasonal allergies.
