About the Author

Louis B. Mendelsohn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Market Technologies, LLC, is a world-renowned pioneer in the application of personal computers to technical analysis and the global financial markets and is the developer of VantagePoint Intermarket Analysis Software. Born in 1948 in Providence, Rhode Island, Mr. Mendelsohn received a B.S. degree in Administration and Management Science from Carnegie Mellon University's Tepper School of Business in 1969, a M.S.W. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1973, and a M.B.A. degree with Honors from Boston University in 1977. Mr. Mendelsohn began trading stocks and options in the early 1970s when he was in graduate school. Then, while employed as a hospital administrator in the late 1970s, he began trading commodities, as both a day and position trader, and started writing software programs for himself and other traders to analyze the commodities markets. This led to the founding of Market Technologies in 1979. Since then, he has served as the firm s President and Chief Executive Officer, overseeing all aspects of the company s phenomenal growth.

This book is a 100 page advertisement for the creator's VantagePoint software. It is littered with cliches about why you should buy it. It teaches you nothing about technical analysis, nor intermarket analysis, aside from that you need to buy his software to be successful. Bottom line, he should be giving these books away for free.

I have tried the vantage point software and even with the help of their staff, first he would tell me what to buy or sell and telling me what signals to look for then that I was also calling thesignals right, I and/or we could only achieve about maybe a 15% success rate. I lost money using their software. I would definitely not buy anything by Louis Mendelsohn it would be a waste of time and money.
