5.0 out of 5 stars Great item if you want to limit the "baby impact"
Our son used this basket as his nap time area for the first few months and it served us well. My son is very tall, so we would have kept using it, but he outgrew it relatively early. It looked attractive and tidy in our living room, instead of an enormous Pack-n-play taking over the space or resorting to putting him in his crib for naps. Also, he loved the bold pattern...

3.0 out of 5 stars It took 30 minutes to put a clean sheet on
Our baby refused to sleep in the crib for the first 3 months of his life, so we needed this basket.
My only complaint is that the sheet you put over the foam mattress is super hard to get on and off, and seemed to shrink in the wash.
We figured out it was a lot easier just to put a pillow case on it, and then tuck in the edges. We could wash it a lot more...

Also, he loved the bold pattern and would be content to look at the bumper as entertainment in the early days. The construction is good, the sheet comes off so you can wash it, and we would even rig it up with his boppy so he could sit up and watch us from the sidelines in the kitchen. It's not inexpensive, but it's not cheaply made and after a few months of use and some washes, it still looks good as new for either baby number two or a toy basket.

The moses basket looks nice and is useful for naps as well as setting the baby down in a safe place, near where I am. The bumper seemed a little difficult to put on, but I am happy with it now that it is on. My only significant complaint is that the blue mattress cover shrank in the wash (washed according to instructions) and I am not able to use it. However, I purchased the "Moses Basket Sheet Cotton - Color White" from Amazon, and those work well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Baby and Parents, December 30, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Our little guy was born early and had to sleep between meals at all times to retain body mass, when we got home from the NICU, we essentially lived in our bedroom. After a week or so, we dragged his bassinet around the house until we got this - it enabled us to leave our room without having to haul his bassinet down stairs. It's worked great as a portable bassinet for when we visit family and friends, and is great until they are big and active enough to need the pack and play. We've washed everything and while the sheet and cover have shrunk a little, it's not so detrimental (you can't see that it isn't fastened properly in back). It's still in great condition and will be around for baby #2 - so I would recommend it!

My only complaint is that the sheet you put over the foam mattress is super hard to get on and off, and seemed to shrink in the wash.
We figured out it was a lot easier just to put a pillow case on it, and then tuck in the edges. We could wash it a lot more often then, and it would take less time to adjust.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Basket, but pricey, August 16, 2009
By
The Trend Lab Moses Basket is great! We live on a sailboat in the Caribbean, so there isn't any room for a crib. Instead, for the first few months we have used this basket for the baby to sleep in. The basket is made well, and seems strong. The bumper/wrap thing is soft, but not too puffy. Our baby is 2 months old, and we might only get another month or two out of it, before she is too big to sleep in it. She is longer than average, so it might last 4-6 months for a average size baby. We got the basket for 50% off, thankfully, because I couldn't imagine spending $90-$100 for it. In my opinion, it's overpriced for what it is. Overall, it has done great for us.
