5.0 out of 5 stars I like this better than my Bugaboo!

Trendsport lite is TRULY my favorite! Let me tell you why.

I have a really bad back and this stroller has changed my life. Although my Bugaboo is very light (about 14 pounds) there's nothing like this one (which is about 10 pounds). This stroller is SO easy. With one hand it EASILY folds and is so light for me to pick up and put in my trunk. This...

1.0 out of 5 stars So disappointed...
I wanted so much to like this stroller. It had everything I wanted: cupholder/tray for me, cupholder/tray for baby, big basket, lightweight. HOWEVER, my poor baby looks miserable sitting in it. My 14 month old is 23 pounds and his little belly presses against the tray. There is no room for him to sit, only about 6". The buckle is extremely difficult to open and...

This stroller has a snack tray to hold food and a parents tray to hold drinks, keys, cell phone etc. I also bought a mesh bag that I've hung from the handles (which I also love, there's nothing like one handed steering) to hold all my extra's. The basket is HUGE and believe me I load it up to the hilt. I also purchased for $10 an insulated cup and snack holder that straps on with velcro to the side of the stroller and that holds my son's cups really well and is in easy reach for him (got that at onestepahead.com). The breaks work great, the seat reclines, the canopy works great and it steers with perfection. Now, I don't want to steer you wrong - this stroller IS $40.00 so going on rough terrain like my isn't going to happen and is the seat plush - no it isn't I. My only complaint about this stroller is the seating position - it has two - reclining which is perfect and upright which is just a tad bit too upright - but works regardless (it's a slight mistep in an otherwise perfect body). On an every day basis THIS is my stroller of choice. This is the one that I use day in and day out and I have not had one problem whatsoever.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price, February 19, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
I bought this stroller because I wanted something to keep in my car that was a step up from an umbrella, but not as big as the one we had that the car seat snapped into. When I bought it, our daughter was about a month old, and she decided not long after that that staying in the car seat and being rolled around the mall was her idea of baby torture. So she has since spent A LOT of time in this stroller!

I love the fact that the seat reclines- before she could sit up unassisted, that was how she traveled. She is a petite baby, so the depth of the seat has never bothered us. Also, I think she felt "lost" in the bigger stroller when we used it without the car seat. She is now a year old, and spends most of her time sitting up, but the seat can still go back whenever she feels a nap coming on. She has fallen asleep in this stroller more times than I can count, so I figure she finds the seat comfortable!

We have used this stroller for almost a year in the mall, around the neighborhood, and at the Renaissance Faire. It has never folded up on us, nor have any of the wheels fallen off. Yes, the clip to undo the straps is tight- but I'd rather have it that way than have her be able to undo it herself and slide right out into traffic! It steers neatly, it holds my soda and her Cheerios, and the basket is big enough for a purse and some shopping bags. It's not fancy, but it does the job. And for $40, I feel like I've gotten my money's worth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vacation must have, May 3, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
We bought this stroller for my 3 and half year old daughter because I was pregnant and couldn't lift the big stroller anymore, and this stroller supported 45lbs. We love it! The handles are tall enough for my husband to push all week at Disney World! She could recline and fall asleep, the sun canopy covered her well, and the basket held lots necesseties. It folds up and locks and was easy to carry on and off buses. We are going to buy another one for our baby on our trip this year because it will cost less than renting a stroller for the week. I can't recommend it enough, shocked that people didn't like it.

The buckle is extremely difficult to open and close. The wheels are flimsy and I was just waiting for them to fall off today. It doesn't handle well. WHen trying to close it and get it back in the car this afternoon, it took several minutes to figure out why it wouldn't close all the way - the wheels have to be in the flat position...

Not what I wanted... THink I'll take it to the Salvation Army. Maybe someone else will like it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for older Toddlers or Preschooler Day Trips!, April 16, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
I was looking for an umbrella stroller with a large basket for my trip to Disney World with my 3 year old. I couldn't find an inexspensive umbrella stroller with a large basket for day trips like Disney World.
I have a wonderful Graco System from when my son was born, but its too bulky and heavy for traveling to Florida, plus my son didn't like the recline feature on the Graco as he got older. He wanted to sit straight up and see things not recline. When he actually fell asleep, I reclined it down. Perfect!! LOVE THIS LITE SROLLER WITH THE HUGE BASKET!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Price is Right, March 30, 2006

I really like this stroller for taking my son for walks in the park or just around town. I'm sure I could have gotten a better quality stroller if I wanted to pay $100-$300. However this stroller is well worth the $40. I'm not sure what the people writing negative reviews expected out of a $40 stroller. My son also loves riding in it for our little walks. He is 18 months old and feels like such a "big man" with the drink carrier and snack holder that he can use. I also like the drink carrier on the back for me and the basket on the bottom. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better stroller for the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value for the money., April 20, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
Yes, there are some faults with the stroller, but based on the price, it is still probably the best bang for the buck. We got this stroller because I needed something that I can carry up and down the stairs while I am on the subway. Most people in NYC are helpful, but every once in a while, I have to do it myself. I would not know how I would do it without my Trendsport.

My husband bought the Graco MetroLite, which was 18 lbs, so I complained that I needed something lighter. The Trendsport was perfect, since we did not have to shell out a lot of money. Sure, there are some problems trying to steer it, and there are only 2 seat-positions, but these are very minor drawbacks. It is still a great stroller and definitely a great bargain.

3.0 out of 5 stars I really wanted to love this, March 7, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
First off, I really wanted to love it. It had so many things going for it compared to the ridiculously priced McLarens (etc): enormous basket, 2 position settings, setting control that doesn't use that rope and pull system, lightweight design, beautiful EXPENSIVE looking and sturdy fabric, trays for both parents and child and pretty darn good steering control. I have a Graco Quattro as my first stroller and as much as I love it, navigating through a restaurant or mall is mostly composed of apologizing to people I bang into or banging into display racks. Plus the Quattro takes up half of my Honda Accord trunk. Despite my gripes, once the baby is in it, there are few irritating things to complain about. What I can't stand about this: (1) Nonremovable fabric. Baby Spit and a spilled can of soda are unremoveable and I've only had it for 3 weeks. (2) Child Try is is ridiculously high and hits my 8 month old in the chin so I just took the darn thing off (3) When folded if Child tray is left on, the way it collapses, you end up scraping up the plastic. This is a concern as I dont want my son to cut himself on scraped up plastic. Another reason I took this off (4) You gotta be kidding about the sunshade right? It's so tiny and doesn't reach far over enough. If the sun if directly above or in front of him, he's screwed and I live in Sunny Florida. The only way the shade prevents him from sun is if the sun is from behind. (5)2 position seat. When you take this out of the trunk, it defaults into "almost" layback position. Sliding it into "almost" sit up position is a PITA since the fabric on the side gets stuck into it constantly. You need two hands. The positions are neither FULLY reclining nor FULLY sitting up. (6) Really wish it had 5 point harnass.
My mom says to get over it since it isn't my full featured Quattro and it was only 40 bucks and my son seems to love it. On some days, I wish that I had spent that 40 bucks elsewhere towards a better made lightweight stroller. On other days, I think that I should be grateful that I only spent 40 bucks on something that gives me so many (or more) functions still of a more expensive umbrella stroller. Generally, I didn't want to become a mommy who owned umpteen strollers but this isn't a bad stroller to have in your stroller wardrobe if you are one of those mommies.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This, February 8, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
We were looking for a lightweight, inexpensive stroller. What a piece of junk this is. The buckles are so hard to work they practically took off the ends of my fingers. The wheels are flimsy, and the steering is a joke. The part of the 3-point harness that goes between the legs pushed right up against my son's privates, and that was the only thing keeping him in this thing. He screamed the last time I tried to take him shopping in this, so it went back to BRU. Buy something else. Anything would be better than this thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Right Stroller for the Right Price, January 25, 2006
This review is from: Trendsport Lite Stroller (Baby Product)
I'm a little surprised at all the negative feedback- especially the poor souls who can't manage the seatbelt clip. Frankly, I'm glad my baby won't be able to undo it himself. As for the seat height/depth- the tray does sit high- but my little guy seemed to appreciate not having to bend over to chew on the tray. I wanted a lightweight stroller that had all the features of my big Graco stroller but without all the bulk and this stroller has it. It does feel a bit fragile, so I'm not planning on using it for jogging down the street or as an atv for baby- but it works just fine for mall-walking, airports, and parking lots. Ask yourself where you'll be using it the most and what features you really need/appreciate. This one works for us- and it was a good bargain, too.
