First of all, you may have noticed the title and description are in contrast. This is a synthetic material, and it took me forever to find it because of the labeling error.

This is so far the best non-leather Kindle cover I have found to date, and fits the needs of this subway commuter perfectly. That being said, there are several aesthetic defects on the cover. For example, in several places in the window surrounding the Kindle screen, the material sticks out slightly and is not a perfect rectangle. Additionally, the material has several dents in it, although this is not a huge problem since it will form temporary dents any time you hold it as would any soft material.

These do not detract from the functionality of the case, but when you're staring at an item for hours a day they do become irksome.

I love this cover. It's comfortable to hold and all the buttons are easily accessible. When looking for a cover, I was sure I didn't want to get an amazon cover that attached with the pins, and I wanted something to close completely over the screen to protect it, then open like a book. I got everything I wanted with this smart design. I even dropped it once, and my kindle was protected. I have had this for about 9 mths, and still love it just as much as the day I opened the package. I definitely recommend it to anyone.
