First of all, I LOOOOVE my nook. It's awesome.

The second I got it, I wanted to protect my investment with a cover. I purchased this one due to how it looked and all it's features.

When I received the item, It looked great; however, after using it for one day, I took my nook out to add an SD card, and I realized there was a horrible brown stain on the back of the nook. I've tried bleach/white erasers/etc., and NOTHING can seem to get this thing off short of sandpaper. I'd STRONGLY recommend not purchasing this product for this reason. Also, neither Amazon nor TrendyDigital seem to want to take responsibility so it looks like I'll be purchasing a new back cover out of my own wallet just for trusting TrendyDigital :-(.

I actually bought this for use with a new Kindle 3, so my comments are based on that application. The difference in size between the Nook and the K3 is so small that it has worked out fine. Granted, the lower elastic corners cover the shift & a portion of the back buttons, but it doesn't interfere with operation. You can still easily feel/click them & there is not enough pressure from the elastic to have unintended clicks. The elastic also goes across a portion of the power slider, but does not interfere with its operation. Although significantly thinner than the B&N Nook, the K3 is held quite securely by the elastic corners. I have no worries about it falling out.

Construction quality is very good and the materials look as if they should stand up well to daily use. The front & back covers have an internal stiffener that should help protect the reader. No problem inserting the USB cord while in the cover when the case is unzipped (I'm of mixed feelings whether or not to create a hole to allow it to be plugged in while zipped).

All in all, well worth the price.

Nick

If there were an eight of an inch more to the size of this cover, this would be a fine product. However, getting the four corner straps on is a real task. Now that's what I call "Cutting Corners".
