I bought this suitcase for my 5 year old daughter and we are both very happy with the purchase. My daughter loves ladybugs so that was the initial appeal. When she found out she could ride on it, as well as put all her travel items in it, she couldn't wait to leave for the trip. I loved that my daughter could ride/scoot or be gently pulled through the airport on her Trunki (NOTE: I don't recommend pulling small children on this as they will likely fall off). Another plus: when your Trunki arrives, it comes with a "passport" holder where you can store fun games and activities to do on the plane (car, train, whatever). There are several downloadable activities on the Trunki website when you register your Trunki. We had a lot of curious onlookers at the airport asking about her suitcase, so be ready to share with others about this whimsical must have. Get ready to make traveling a little more fun for the little jetsetter in your family (and easier for you)!

This does not hold as much as we would have liked but are daughter enjoyed it during our travels and even plays on it at home from time to time.

This entertained my 2 year old daughter for all of 5 min in the airport!!! I thought she would really enjoy being pulled around on it throughout the airport, but she QUICKLY lost all interest. Consequently, mom or dad had to lug this stupid thing around the whole airport, and it's by no means LIGHT or easy to carry, for an adult, much less a child! If you think your child will actually CARRY this or pull it by him/herself after riding it, think again!!! TOTAL waste of money!!! Cute, but NOT at all utilitarian in any sense of the word (for entertaining or carrying luggage)!

As soon as I put it on the floor my son tried to climb on it. Very sturdy and well built. This is the older version, not the Melissa & Doug.

Please note that this review is for the ORIGINAL TRUNKI, NOT the Trunki suitcases sold by Melissa and Doug. From what I understand, there are differences between the two.
I love this suitcase. We bought it for our 3 year old daughter for a long overseas trip. My family lives in Europe, so we travel frequently. Yes, 10 hour flights, customs lines and luggage waits with a toddler/preschooler are never too easy, but this last trip was by far the easiest of them all because of this MARVELOUS suitcase. She kept herself entertained by pulling it behind her and riding on it. It also made it easier while waiting because i could just pull her back and forth while in line. I am THRILLED I made this purchase and am getting another one for my 18 month old. Thank you TRUNKI!!!!! Oh yeah, forgot to mention that it is SO cute that it turns heads and makes people smile seeing her on it!

We purchased Trunki for our 3 year old daughter before we started traveling with two children for the first time (younger sibling is 6 months old). The Trunki made moving a toddler who normally finds any reason to drag her feet when trying to get from point A to point B much easier and fun. She loved "racing" thru the airports and even when she didn't want to ride, she wanted to pull it along herself. I found Trunki fairly easy to handle with one hand while pushing a lightweight stroller in the other hand. Most people around us had never seen a trunki before and we got a lot of questions, smiles and comments - the extra attention didn't hurt our often shy girl either.

A few comments on Trunki - never pull your child (or let them ride on) an empty trunki - it is much more apt to tip over. You also must account for making very wide turns and gently pulling children around obstacles and corners. Also, it is entirely too awkward to open once inside a plane, so we ended up gate checking ours on the jetway just to have less to deal with getting in and out of the plane with two children.

Simply put, the cutest case *ever*!!!! My 3 yr old is in love and my 6 yr old wishes he were 3. The case is roomy and very sturdy. Not to mention the attention it attracts. It's accompanied us to Asia, the beach, the grandparents' and beyond. More trips to come! We love it, love it, love it!

This is the greatest luggage ever for a toddler who frequently travels and wants to be in charge of what to take. Besides this works as a ride on toy while traveling or not traveling.

We purchased this for our granddaughter who is two. She loves it. Her brother received the one that looks like a tiger and they follow each other through out the house. They travel quite a bit, therefore, the trunkis also met with parent approval.
