4.0 out of 5 stars Good news for Oldfield fans
And maybe bad news for people who haven't been into Oldfield for years? Fact is, that I'd say fans would get more out of Oldfield's latest offering.

To me it sounds like this is the album he's been working towards since 1990. It resembles Sounds of distant Earth, it has a bit of Voyager in there and quite a bit of Tubular Bells III - it takes the best from those three...

And maybe bad news for people who haven't been into Oldfield for years? Fact is, that I'd say fans would get more out of Oldfield's latest offering.

To me it sounds like this is the album he's been working towards since 1990. It resembles Sounds of distant Earth, it has a bit of Voyager in there and quite a bit of Tubular Bells III - it takes the best from those three albums and puts forth what I expect will be a new classic. It's challenging, definately, because it's a bit off the beaten Oldfield track but if you give it the chance it surely deserves I'm sure it'll open up to most listeners.

Packaging and design is cutting edge as is the Music RV game that comes as a bonus disc...
