The first thing that happened when I tried these boots on was the heel loop tore off. They're not connected nearly strong enough. I was a tempted to return them, fearing they would start falling apart in other places, but they seemed nice in every other way, so I kept them.

I'm glad I did. They've proven to be reliable enough, comfortable, and, most important for me, waterproof. I wear these for walking and biking through rain and snow, which they've worked great for. They're not the warmest in the world, but they're definitely warmer than my shoes, so I'm not complaining; usually I just wear shoes all winter long.

Bottom line: I'd recommend these. FYI, they fit true-to-size on my feet.

I love the design of Tretorns. Unfortunately, the build quality and durability are unbearably low.

I've been naive and optimistic enough to continue buying Tretorns over the past three autumn/winters here in Denmark, where frankly, the weather is not all that extreme. But all three pair have broken in some way over the course of each season, ...by developing leaks, or by having the insoles separate, and yes of course, the heel loop.

My experience with this particular model is like so many of the other commenters on this product, in that the heel loop tore off within the first few days. Just by touching the shoe and inspecting the construction you get a pretty good sense for how cheaply it is made.

They moved production from Sweden to China many years ago and the quality has clearly suffered as a result. I don't mean to imply that quality products can't be made in China, but anytime you outsource manufacturing you take a risk that overall quality of construction will suffer. It clearly does here. But who knows, maybe they were always terrible (?). We'd need an older Swede to tell us.

Regardless, avoid this shoe unless you like it enough to wear it for one season. If you do buy it, know that it is handsome, ...but it's also a waste.

I bought this boot for walking/riding in the rain since it is entirely waterproof. Being that it is made out of rubber, without any shoestrings, it is a little bit tricky to get on your feet. This is where the rear pull tab comes in handy, however, it tore after only a few weeks of use. Fortunately, Amazon customer service is the best in the world so I'm returning the boots for a refund since I have little faith they will not continue to get much worse in the coming months of use. Also, since I have wider feet, I don't like that the ankle area is too big relative to the footbed. I don't think these boots are worth more than $20.

These boots are great quality. I like them, but you need to buy them one size up. I bought size 12, and it was good for size 11.

Being a tad large, especially at the top means that something has to be done to block the water from entering at the top.

Don't find the boots particularly warm when riding in weather under 30 degrees.

I got them as Camp shoes for when I go backpacking. Fit great, and are comfortable with or without socks. Haven't taken them out into the elements yet but feel sturdy and up for any weather.

This rain "boot" is everything I was looking for. I actually wanted a boot that looked more like a shoe, and these are perfect. They are light weight, but strong and sturdy, and the lining keeps my feet nice and warm. I was also concerned about slippery surfaces, but these boots offer superior traction. I'm glad I purchased these; I am perfectly satisfied.

These are very heavy boots, comparable in feel to a pair of 10" Corcoran Jump Boots. They are evidently solid rubber, which should mean that they will last. For me, the weight meant that I, personally, would rather have a pair of 10" waterproof boots that would keep me dry in more than 2.5"/10cm puddles. They also seem to fit quite large, possible for heavy wool socks.
