5.0 out of 5 stars Great Album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the Fall of 1994, and I was dealing with a lot of pressure. I bought the tape and listened to it everyday when I drove my car to work. The upbeat tunes always brightend my spirits. One day, when I felt as if the world was crashing down on me, and I felt as if I was going crazy... trying to handle my problems alone, as if I didn't need anyone, I had a revelation. I...

2.0 out of 5 stars rather lackluster
This one went into the CD recycle bin after three listens. Too formulaic. Too bad since Trey has a beautiful voice, but is let down by humdrum production, programmed instruments and boring material. If you want to hear Trey at his best, pick up a copy of Basia's The Sweetest Illusion and listen to "She Deserves It."

I was returning from a lunch meeting with my lawyer, and, just as I was about to park the song "You're gonna need a friend" was playing. I had never paid much attention to that song before, but that day I did, it brought me to tears, right there in the parking lot at work. After I played the song over, I dried my face and opened my heart. From that day I accepted love in my life, something which I had always had difficulty in doing in the past. That one song change my life and personal relationships.

5.0 out of 5 stars his voice is remarkable, September 1, 2001

Trey Lorenz is what I would say to be truly talented. He has that kinda voice that would steal your heart away. He can work a song so perfect that the words don't have to even make sense but just to hear his voice would make my day. The song, "someone to Hold, is my all time favorite. that's the type of song I would want to get married to. The moment I first heard that song, I think I was about eight or nine years old. Eventhough i was young,I knew good sounding music when I heard it. I guess you could say i have remarkable taste to be so young. Trey is just truly blessed to have a grade A voice like that. "YOU GO BOY!"

LOVE,
TOYA

This was a fine debut album from Trey Lorenz and it is also a pity that this album is no longer in print. My favourite tracks on this album are "someone to hold","photograph of mary" and "just to be close to you".I really do hope that Trey does do another album.

5.0 out of 5 stars What happened to you?, January 26, 2002
This review is from: Trey Lorenz (Audio CD)
I heard the song "someone to hold" one night on the radio and became totally infatuated with the song. Does anybody notice that "Mariah Carey" is doing back up on the song. It's a great album that reflects true R&B music that takes away your sorrow and makes you feel really good. Like the song says "YOU TAKE ME IN AND MAKE ME WHOLE AGAIN!

4.0 out of 5 stars Trey Lorenz has a voice to be reckon with!, June 9, 1999

I really enjoyed the album-Trey has a keen sense of the songs that he recorded, Upon listening to the c.d.it is very personable, especially "someone to hold, which infers the sense of needing someone and always in love, details the love of one that was lost, trey's haunting tenor evokes a warm feeling-please hurry and do another album trey!

5.0 out of 5 stars Timeless CD - Trey Lorenz, May 25, 2007
This review is from: Trey Lorenz (Audio CD)
This album has been with me for nearly 15 years, from cassette to CD. Amazing vocals, thoughtful lyrics. I have loved this album from 11th grade until now (age 30). There has been long periods of time that I haven't listened to it, but I always come back to it, and I am sure I always will. It is a special album which I hold close to my heart. In my opinion Trey Lorenz created a vocal masterpiece and I thank him for that.

I got this album Xmas 92 along with my first cd player. I asked for this cd for Xmas that year and I have had it every since. I love this album. It is a very soothing album. Trey has an amazing voice. I haven't heard his new album yet, but I plan on getting it soon. Anyone considering this album, please dont hesitate because it is excellent. Trey writes and co-writes most of the tracks.
