Book Description

May 15, 1996 New Colour Series
The three-engined jets seemed the way ahead during the fuel-price crises of the early 1970s, but more efficient powerplants saw their demise in favour of twin-jets. This review of these wide-bodied jets includes airliner histories and profiles of their operators.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book for novices to aviation fanatics, June 26, 1998
This review is from: Tri-Jets: TriStars, DC-10s and MD-11s (Osprey Civil Aircraft) (Paperback)
This book is wonderful! The histories are detailed, but not so detailed as to bore the newcomer to aircraft, but has enough detail to hold the interest of the enthusiast. The full-color photographs are stunning. A must for aircraft enthusiasts of any kind.

This review is from: Tri-Jets: TriStars, DC-10s and MD-11s (Osprey Civil Aircraft) (Paperback)
Well, I love this book...However, there were no interior photos of these massive giants of the sky. (Now mostly used in 3rd world countries). However, they make a great aviation buff's book collection. In addition, the seller shipped super fast.
Peace
