This futon is easy to put together and is a very sturdy high quality item. It looks great!! It's unique shape makes it a versatile and interesting addition to any room. It allows you to have a futon without the limitations of a normal "sofa-shaped" futon. With the mattress in place the frame is virtually invisible so will blend into the decor of any room. It is easy to change the configuration of the futon from lounger to sofa- one person can do it easily. With my metal futon frame I have to have someone assist me when I open or close it. I am really glad that I purchased this product and now it is "my place" in the family room. (Wellll, I do have to share with my three little dogs!! Because it is low to the ground in the lounging position, my older dog can run right up it without having to jump up or down- a real help as she is older and has arthritis.

It's sturdy and works well as a bed or a chair. But I bought a futon so I could convert it daily from bed to chair. When I pull up the back to fold it into a chair the front legs always collapse. This is a bit of a pain. It also allows the mattress to slide down (if moved bed/chair/bed/chair) and that makes it tiresome. So, if ya don't plan on a frequent conversion it's great.

Bought it for my son, but I already had a twin size for my futon, and it works great. This is a very inexpensive substitute for a bed frame and, I suspect, good for your back. I have slept on one for the last two years, and I love it. (I'm 69) It's a good option for someone who moves a lot as it's very portable and compact, but also just as good for someone who wants a sturdy, functional bed. My son had no trouble putting it together and it folds easily. I like the fact that it is made of wood and not springs that eventually sag and are sharp. The only drawback is it is lower to the floor than most beds so anything that is too high won't slide under it. It is inexpensive but not cheap, by that I mean the quality is very good and it's made well. Arrived quickly too. I feel very comfortable recommending the frame.

I am SO happy with this purchase. We purchased both the tri and bi-fold futon frames from Amazon and I have nothing but EXCELLENT things to say about BOTH of them! These items are a remarkable value - you cannot beat the price for the quality that you are getting. SUPPORT this company - because they are making durable, simple, smart designs for the most affordable rate I have seen. I really appreciate the unstained wood, as it allows you to personalize the futon frames at your convenience to match any style or decor in your home. The benefit to the trifold is that it is very compact when it is folded up (like a love seat) and the bi-fold is a great substitute for a couch. The assembly was quick and easy - no missing pieces - no compromise in the quality of what was sent. The instructions are clear and concise. VERY DURABLE AND STURDY. I like that there are no edges sticking out (baby friendly), and the futons lay just outside the frame so there is no sense of being blocked in or obstructed by arm handles or other attachments. TRUST the reviews on these items - reading the reviews really helped me feel confident that I was purchasing a great product - and made me that much more eager to send in my own STELLAR REVIEW of these items! This futon came in one long, narrow box. A lot of assembly is required, but it's not terribly difficult, and you'll have a huge sense of accomplishment when you finish. Honestly, I kept the box around for a week so I could keep bragging about my mad assembly skills to my boyfriend, our friends, the postman, everyone. If you played with Legos and could follow those instructions successfully, you'll do just fine. Be sure to count all of your pieces, lay them out, and do NOT mix them up! The assembled product is fantastic! It's comfortable, sturdy, and a bit unusual, so my friends all ask "where did you get that?!" and now have futon envy. I've had mine for a year or so now, and it's still going strong. You'll need a thick futon mattress, or you should flip the mattress periodically, or the fill will mash in between the slats.

I ordered this to be used initially as a bed to be turned into a lounger. The wood is nice. There are lots of pieces and it took me awhile to assemble but the instructions are crystal clear and the quality seems to be really good. I put it together by myself with just a hammer and electric screwdriver. All the parts fit together perfectly with no adjustments or pounding needed. You know how sometimes you have to do lots of tweaking of corners to get things to fit together like they're supposed to; well, this was precise and slick as sn**. Based on this product, I would order from this company again.

I bought this several months ago for our basement area/game room. It doesn't get a whole lot of use but serves the purpose well. The product itself is well made, was easy to put together and seems to be sturdy. It's a little bothersome to transition to the other positions. Delivery was very quick. I received the wrong item, however. But the company replaced it quickly with no hassles whatsoever. I was extremely impressed with the company and very happy with my purchase.

Assembling this is easy, but time consuming. The wood is unfinished, but unlike cheaper futon frames, it's at least sanded smooth. If you need a love seat option for a futon, it's OK, but it's still a futon frame, with no arms.

This is a great piece of furniture with a lot of uses. It is easy to assemble and light-weight and extremely comfortable for watching TV, reading, working, napping and it has enough space for my dog and cat, and it will work as a guest bed when I have guests. I wish I have had this bed/chaise lounge much earlier!! And the price is affordable too.

This frame comes in completely non assembled pieces but it goes together extremely easily and only took me about 2 hours with my 2 year old "helping". A rubber mallet makes it easier since most of the assembly requires pushing together pieces connected by wooden pegs, and the wood is soft so a regular hammer leaves marks in the furniture. I ordered a "full" size but to me it seems smaller than my regular full size real beds. I am using this outdoors in my covered patio as a day bed. The wood is natural and unfinished so I bought a can of wipe on poly to seal and protect the wood before it is exposed to the weather. The biggest draw back to this is that it sits very low to the ground, even lower than I expected so it will be hard for an older person to get in and out of. Just make sure you check the measurements carefully.
