Book Description

”A didn’t-see-it-coming twist ends Duck’s lively tale with a flourish.”
--Library Journal

Drown or take a bullet? Neither option is very good. But Shell finds himself at the edge of the Passaic River with that choice to make. His complicated feelings for an ex, Nevada, have been put to the test since she went missing from a seedy motel. There is no evidence of what happened in that room other than Nevada’s bloodstains splattered on the walls. The police have written off her disappearance as a bad drug deal or a prostitution mishap. But Shell simply can’t give up on the only woman he ever loved. So he looks…and he digs…and he searches for answers. And in the process he stirs up some treacherous men that would prefer Nevada’s disappearance remain a mystery.

”…flows smoothly, with Duck revealing information with near perfect timing.”
--Romantic Times magazine

5.0 out of 5 stars Triage Time! March 6, 2012

Kept me on the edge of the page, and I'm not usually a medical thriller type. I love the suspense, that kept me up long after bedtime reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible! February 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The sign of an excellently-crafted novel is finding yourself knee-deep in places you've never ventured too, characters you've never met and experiences you never known, but feeling the authenticity of all of it. That is what, once again, Phillip Thomas Duck has done in his latest "Triage." Smooth, crisp and exact, Mr. Duck takes the reader, head first, into a world few will ever know as he explores the inner workings of hit man "Shell" with such skill and grace, you feel as if you've known him all of your life.

With enough twists and turns and subtle nuances that sneak up on you and grab you by surprise, "Triage" is a fascinating, well executed novel that is hard to put down. With amazing abilities, Mr. Duck brings the world of Shell into a type of focus that is sharp, disheartening and poetic. Phill's writing is absolutely flawless and the story line keeps you turning the pages. I would truly rate this a ten-star read.

If you never delved into the worlds Mr. Duck creates, then you are truly in for a treat. If you are familiar with the hard boiled fiction genre, then you will not be disappointed. From start to finish, this novel is absolutely flawless. So strap yourself in. You are in for a phenomenal ride....
