4.0 out of 5 stars Who is the criminal here?, February 20, 2006
This review is from: Trial and Error: 9.95 (Paperback)
This classic written by Anthony Berkeley is worth reading. It was written in 1937, and since Mr. Berkely was the writer who arguably issued in the Golden Age of detection writing, it's worth it just for that reason. But the book is better than just that. It gives the reader an insight into the British judicial system, and Mr. Berkeley spares no punches when he writes about the people in this honoured institution. The entire book is written with "tongue-in-cheek", and he handles it masterfully. Mr. Todhunter is no OJ Simspon, but the parallels between the two cases are actually quite dramatic.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best mystery stories I've ever read, June 18, 2011

This review is from: Trial and Error: 9.95 (Paperback)
This is one of my all-time favorite mystery stories. I am very lucky to have stumbled across it. This book is different from every other mystery story I have ever read because of a delightful ambiguity. To say more would give away an important plot point.
