Book Description

THE BESTSELLING LEGAL THRILLER

"A MYSTERY I DARE YOU SOLVE"

Ethan "Hutch" Hutchinson hasn't seen his old college pals for nearly a decade. Now fate has brought them together again as one of the gang is put on trial for a brutal, senseless murder.

The Chicago police and prosecutor think they have their perp, but Hutch isn't about to sit silently in a courtroom as someone he cares about is wrongfully convicted.

"CATCH-YOUR-BREATH PLOT TWISTS"

When Hutch and his friends join forces to search for the real killer, what they find shatters every notion they have about friendship, loss and redemption... and may very well cost Hutch--and the woman he loves--their lives.

_________

"Browne delivers again with Trial Junkies. Great characters, sharp, smart dialogue and a mystery I dare you to solve. It doesn't get any better than this."
~Cindy Gerard, New York Times Bestselling Author of Last Man Standing

"With the emotion-tugging nostalgia of The Big Chill and the catch-your-breath plot twists of Runaway Jury, Trial Junkies is not only a must-read, it's destined to be a classic."
~Debra Webb, nationally bestselling author of the Faces of Evil series

"Trial Junkies is a pulse-pounding thriller that is populated by real characters. Browne's snappy dialogue and masterful storytelling make the characters come alive. You will quickly feel as if you know Hutch and his friends and will want to fight along with them to discover the truth."
~Tim's World

"Trial Junkies reads like a very modern version of the classic courtroom thriller. Some of the more old-fashioned elements of the genre are swept aside in favour of a fast-paced novel that reflects modern sensibilities and the realities of life in the twenty-first century. And the central mystery remains well-constructed throughout, leading to a genuine sense of tension."
~Indie Book Spot

"Robert Gregory Browne is so freakin talented he makes me want to put my computer away. Maybe I should start drinking his coffee! "
~Terri Molina, author of House of Cards

PRAISE FOR THE WORK OF ROBERT GREGORY BROWNE:

"Browne's thrillers are lean, mean and thoroughly entertaining."
~New York Times bestselling author, Allison Brennan

"Browne has a gift for creating other worlds so believable that one would swear they exist."
~New York Times bestselling author, Gayle Lynds

"The twists and turns are like traveling switchbacks in the Rockies at 100 mph..."
~New York Times bestselling author, Cindy Gerard

"The deeply satisfying story moves at a furious pace, packed with unexpected and original clues and plot twists."
~Publisher's Weekly (starred review for Whisper in the Dark)

"This is a writer whose name will soon be a household word."
~Bookfinds

Editorial Reviews

From the Author

The idea for Trial Junkies arose from a life experience.

Years ago, I worked as a "criminal intake clerk" at the Honolulu Public Defenders Office, and part of my job was to go to court every Monday to help potential clients secure an attorney. During my downtime, I'd often sit in on trials and motions in the various courtrooms and soak up the drama.

After weeks of this, I noticed that a lot people in the gallery were faces I'd seen over and over again. These so-called "trial junkies" were as fascinated by the legal process as I was.

An aspiring screenwriter at the time, I began to formulate a story idea about a group of these regular trial watchers getting involved in solving a murder mystery, and that idea percolated in the back of my mind for many years.

It wasn't until recently that I struck upon the notion of making my trial watchers a group of old college pals who reunite to help one of their own, and when it hit me, I knew that I finally had a story I could tell.

I don't think I've had a better time writing than I did with Trial Junkies. I hope you'll enjoy it as well.

Rob

5.0 out of 5 stars Diehard Fan!! May 17, 2012
By Terri
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I just finished reading Robert Browne's newest release Trial Junkies. And, while I'm not a fan of reading legal thrillers, this novel not only kept me turning the pages (and made me forget I had something on the stove--oops) but it confirmed what I already knew: Mr. Browne is one freakin' talented writer! His books are so tightly written and full of twists and turns, you never see the ending until you get there.

Trial Junkies follows Ethan "Hutch" Hutchinson, a washed up actor, who hasn't seen his old college pals in nearly ten years. When one of the friends is brutally murdered, he returns to Chicago and reaches out to his former roommates to find the real killer before his best friend--and the woman he loves --is wrongfully convicted.

Trial Junkies is not only a pulse-pounding, edge of your seat story, but the characters are so real they jump off the page. And the ending is so extraordinary, even I didn't see it coming. I bought and read the book the same day...it was that good. This is definitely one of my keepers and one I may have to read again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Trial Junkies... A Real Engagement of the Brain May 21, 2012
By Jeb
Format:Kindle Edition
Trial Junkies by Robert Gregory Browne will keep you up all night. I found myself immersed in the story from page one. The personalities of the people in this book are so well developed that you very quickly feel as though you recognize them and understand their behaviors and decisions. I am being careful in this review not to give away any of the curves in this story. I finished the book wishing that I wasn't finished, I enjoyed it that much. Buy it, read it, review it, and then perhaps we can convince Mr. Browne that a sequel is vital.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Thriller From Robert Gregory Browne May 18, 2012
By Elly
Format:Kindle Edition
I forfeited sleep for this novel. (If you knew me and how important proper rest is to my health, you would fully understand that comment.)With the first sentence, Robert throws this book into high gear and doesn't slow it down until it ends. Robert Gregory Browne's foray into the Legal Thriller genre is a complete success. TRIAL JUNKIES is a fast paced puzzle you WILL NOT want to put down.
