One of the best in the series, May 15, 1997

This review is from: The Trial (Mack Bolan, The Executioner No. 91) (Paperback)
"The Trial" puts the Executioner in a different battleground -- one where he's forced to use words as his weapons. I not only felt like I was there, I found my heart beating hard as the suspense built.
This novel rates as one of the best in the series because it is well-written and the plotline has a unique twist. It's not the usual Mack-saves-the-world-from-terrorists-&-madmen storyline, but more of an insight into the man and the legend that he created.
I also like the story because it features a rare visit with Mack's brother Johnny, which adds to the many surprises the storyline takes.
If you're never read an Executioner series novel before, this book would be a good introduction, since it gives you a lot of background on the Executioner. If you're a regular fan, you won't miss out on any gunfire and action, either, as there's enough to satisfy.
Happy reading!
