I loved this book even more than the first one. It had edge of your seat excitement right from the beginning. I really liked the development of the main characters, and once again, I was in awe of the detailed knowledge of all the animals and how beautifully descriptive the writing is. This book was hard to put down. The only bad thing is I have to wait until May for the next one.

Gaddy's writing style is light and fast paced, making this trilogy a fun action packed read. Purely based on recommendations from Amazon I took a gamble and ordered all three books in the trilogy. The books are relatively thin volumes and I initially wandered what they would be like. But I've enjoyed every paragraph and they're written in a fresh and easy to consume style, which means you just fly through them.

Three days after opening my Amazon delivery, I finished the first book and loved the concept and delivery style of the tales of the Kamishi. I'm mid-way through "Trials of the Warmland" and really enjoying the story line. The introduction of the "astronauts" part of the story is great and I'm looking forward to finishing it so I can pass the trilogy down to my son (at 12 this is a perfect read for him).

Good Stuff Gaddy - I'm looking forward to your next work....
