This review is from: Triangle Histories of the Revolutionary War: Battles - The Battle of Trenton (Hardcover)
The Triangle History books are excellent for teaching the American Revolution battles. I am homeschooling my middle schooler in American history. So many books just give a few paragraph description of the battles in the American Revolution. I really wanted to teach the battles in detail, the adversities the Americans faced, the strategy behind the battles, the events in the battle, etc. These are important to understanding how the American Revolution proceeded and why the Americans ultimately prevailed.
The Triangle History books present just enough detail for us. They include helpful maps and describe the events leading up to the battles, the strategies of both sides, the crucial events, and the outcomes and why the battle is significant. My middle-schooler can read them quickly, since each book is about 30 - 40 pages. We usually get two lessons out of each book, and my student appreciates the battle and is forming an overall impression of the course of the American Revolution thanks to these books. |
