Excellent view into the mindset of elite Triathletes,

This review is from: Triathlon-Through the Eyes of the Elite (DVD)
An excellent view of the world of elite Triathletes and great background for the 2000 Olympic debut of Triathlon. The focus of the documentary is mainly Wes Hobson in his build up for the 2000 USA Olympic Triathlon Trials. Much of the rest of the DVD covers Olympic hopefuls who train at the USA Olympic Training Center. There are plenty of one on one interviews where you get to see the quirky side of the athletes. On the negative side I felt that the editing put a "whiney" spin on Wes.The video spans about a 4 month period in 2000, interviewing the athletes on their home training grounds as well as at different international races throughout the season. No significant coverage of the races unfortunately. I enjoyed the video but can no longer watch it after having seen it about 50 times while riding my indoor trainer.
