Product Features

  • SMS text messaging for your tablet using your phone number. You continue using your phone number!
  • Sync SMS and phone calls instantly from your phone to your tablet
  • Uses direct connection so messages do not use up data or get saved on third party servers
  • Dial and answer calls from the tablet while using Bluetooth headset on phone
  • Link your devices over your phone's hotspot and sync SMS without using extra data

Product Description

What if you could securely text and make voice calls from your Kindle Fire, using your Android phone number? Now you can! Unlike other apps, Tablet Talk doesn't force you to use a new phone number -- your friends and contacts can keep on using your main Android phone number for SMS and voice calls!

How does it work? Tablet Talk lets you pair your Android phone to an Android tablet using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (sorry, iPads and other iOS devices are not supported). It's a direct connection between the devices, so messages can be sent and received without delay.

Other features include:

• Privacy. SMS messages are directly synced between your tablet and Android phone. They are not uploaded or passed through company servers.

• Instant notifications. Your tablet rings as soon as you receive a call. Use a headset with your phone, and Tablet Talk lets you dial/answer calls from the tablet.

• Flexibility. Text anywhere, anytime, with or without Internet access. Easily switch between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

• Wi-Fi hotspot. Use Tablet Talk to link your tablet over your phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot, so no mobile data is used to transfer your texts.

• Bluetooth support. Use a Bluetooth headset with your phone? Combined with Tablet Talk, you can even dial and answer calls directly from the tablet, including a full call log. You will never need to take your phone out of your pocket! Link over Bluetooth when Bluetooth tethering!

There's more: Quick reply popups, MMS & group MMS support, expandable notifications, custom themes, DashClock Extensions, SMS delivery reports, emoticons/smilies … the list goes on!

Install the Tablet Talk app on both your tablet and Android phone.

The Tablet Talk app needs to be installed on both devices. After installing Tablet Talk on your Kindle, download Tablet Talk from your phone's app store or the Tablet Talk website. Follow the installation and pairing instructions to send and receive SMS messages and voice calls on your Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its GREAT!! July 7, 2013
Verified Purchase
I've tried and paid Google GO SMS Pro, TextMe, Talk - Text to Voice, Tango Text, Voice, and Video, Text Messaging from Tablet SMS,and textPlus Free Text + Calls, money wasted. I finally found a program that sync with my Android tablet & my Android phon with ease. Since I recently became disabled my tablet & my cellphone have become my life. I keep vital information on my tablet for when I go to my doctor's I have test results, procedures and list of my current medications.if I receive calls regarding test results on my cellphone, I can send and receive copies those results with the help of Tablet Talk. it especially comes in handing when I schedule oxygen deliveries to my home. At times 'm not near my phone, but Tablet Talk I still gets the message via voice or text. I personally give a big Thank You to TribalWire Inc. for creating such a program, because it's definitely making my life a lot easier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great App August 23, 2013

I have a droid phone and a Kindle fire HD. This app allows you to connect them via Blue tooth or WiFi. I had to down load the Amazon app store first on my phone. That way I could access the cloud to download app to phone. This app works great for texting from my Kindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great app! August 7, 2013

I have been looking for a way to text from my Fire HD 8.9 since the day I took it from the box. This app does exactly what it promises. I was sending and receiving texts in minutes.

I've been using Tablet Talk for a few days now, and it has been completely reliable on both my Fire and Android phone. The download was quick. It doesn't seem to be draining the battery on either device.

It was very easy to set up. You must install the app on both your tablet and phone. You link the two either by Wi-Fi or BlueTooth . I have only used BlueTooth so far. I had a minor conflict with the text app I use on my phone and the FAQs addressed the issue and solved my problem.

This is possibly one of the best apps I've ever purchased!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great app with excellent support September 28, 2011

This is a great app that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Now when I am using my tablet, I don't have to dig my phone out to see who's calling. And the texting works really well, even syncing messages to my tablet after reconnecting. The support is also excellent; when I had a problem downloading the app to my phone after purchasing from the Market on my tablet, the dev cheerfully refunded my money. I was then able to re-purchase from the Amazon Appstore and download to both devices without a problem. My tablet is an HTC Flyer and my phone is a rooted Motorola Atrix. Thanks dev!

Tablet Talk is one of those apps that you need to have on your Kindle Fire and your Android phone, and is absolutely worth $2.99. It's so convenient for texting -- basically your Android phone can stay in your pocket or even in the other room while you are using your Kindle Fire. When you get an incoming text on your phone, a notification pops up on your Kindle Fire, and you can answer the text using the larger Kindle keyboard.

I have Tablet Talk installed on my Kindle Fire HD and LG Optimus phone. You only have to pay once. I bought the app on the Kindle Fire HD, and then it was available to install for free on the Amazon Appstore on my phone as a cloud app. Note that you have to install the Amazon Appstore first, though.

Tablet Talk also has a feature which lets you answer voice calls, but it requires a Bluetooth headset which I don't have (yet).

I tested the APP by having my phone nearby. Messages would come to the phone, but not the Tablet Talk application, unless I forced a sync of the messages. This really does not work as a chat tool if this is the only way to get the messages to come through in your tablet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Little App
Not as good as the Apple platform but decent since Android doesn't seem to want to get into a program that I think a lot of people would like on their Android tablet/phone.
