I first saw Tribaljazz at the LA County Museum and they performed at a free outdoor concert. I had no idea who they were for the first few minutes of the show but I was very impressed by the energy of the group and the expert musicianship. As the performance went on and I learned that John Densmore, the drummer was one of the fouder of The Doors, and they introduced the band that hailed from all parts of the world i was simply blown away. I have been looking forward to to the album release and now that I have it I have not been disappointed. It is an incredible, surprisingly eclectic album that lovers of all types of music will enjoy. My favorite trax are Skytrails and Blues for Bali. I also like the Violet Love with Michael Franti from Spearhead. This is really really good. I did not grow up as a Doors fan but i am now curious about them as well.

Tribaljazz is an awesome record that really gets down to the soul of what jazz is. It is something that I can listen to in the car, on the beach, at the house, literally anywhere! Its awesome! Legendary musician John Densmore headed up this project, and though I don't know much about The Doors, I find that this musician is truly legendary on the Jazz scene as well. There is even a version of "Riders On The Storm" on Tribaljazz! [..]. You will not be disappointed if you buy this record. Do yourself a favor and pick it up now!

Hey All:

I encourage all of you to check out the new Tribaljazz cd. Its from John Densmore, the legendary drummer of The Doors and is a cool collection of jazz as only John can deliver. It reminds me alot of Spro Gyra and The Yellowjackets from the late 80's. Standout songs to me include: Skytrails, Blues for Bali, and Riders on the Storm. A must have for any DOORS fan!!!! Try it out and I promise you will not be disappointed.
