Maria Jose Hooft es una frecuente columnista de articulos acerca de subculturas juveniles en su natal Argentina. Junto a su esposo Christian, poseen una amplia trayectoria en el ministerio juvenil. Han sido pastores de jovenes, entrenado lideres, brindado conferencias y organizado numerosos eventos de juventud, incluyendo programas de evangelismo en escuelas, universidades y en barrios carenciados. Actualmente es profesora en el Instituto ConZion de Argentina, en la Escuela de ministerio Juvenil del Instituto Biblico Rio La Plata y en el Instituto Especialidades Juveniles.
