HERE IS A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF THE WAY BILL MONROE'S SONGS SHOULD BE PLAYED AND SUNG. JIM AND JESSE PLAYING BILL'S SONGS WITH WONDERFUL HARMONY AND GREAT MUSICIANSHIP IS WHAT MAKES THESE RECORDINGS BETTER THAN BILL MONROE'S VERSIONS.JESSE MCREYNOLDS IS, BY FAR, A BETTER MANDOLIN PLAYER. LISTEN TO "ORANGE BLOSSOM SPECIAL" ON THIS ALBUM AND YOU WILL HEAR A FLAWLESSLY PLAYED, COMPLICATED MANDOLIN DRIVING THE SOUND! SOMETHING BILL COULD NEVER DO!

This is the first recording of Jim and Jesse I have ever heard. I fell in love with "Rocky Road Blues", sung by the one and only Jim McReynolds. This is a driving cd. The way bluegrass should be all the time!!!
