Another great zydeco cd by Leon Sam!, December 12, 2007

The Houston Press calls them the best Zydeco band. Big deal? Yup. They've won that award for twelve years in a row! They are the Zydeco Dots. At first, you'll notice that this might not sound like all the other Zydeco bands you've heard, then you realize that all the other bands are trying to emulate THEM! Leon Sam and The Zydeco Dots are a Texas mainstay. Bringing a traditionally New Orleans style of music to the Lone Star State was a stroke of genius. The Texas influence can be heard throughout the disc, but the band sticks to the traditions of Zydeco. After giving "TRIBUTE TO CLIF" a second listen, I have to agree... this is THE best Zydeco band I've ever heard.
