4.0 out of 5 stars Nirvana Collectors
If your a Nirvana CD collector then this is really worth buying. Although its not quite Nirvana, Its great to see the respect given to the best band of all time. Even if no one can ever match Kurt's vocal energy, the effort given by the featured bands is really worth hearing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Looking for a Laugh? Buy this CD!
This title was one of those I grabbed with me without looking at it properly...The title seemed interesting enough and when I got home I sat down to listen to it anxious to hear other artists perform the writings of my idol. I was disappointed. Mainly because instead of the well known bands I had been hoping for the artists were all scandinavian. I think you can figure...

I think you can figure out the rest of the story for yourselves. Still, there is one performance on this particular CD that I recomend you get into your ears somehow (don't do it though by buying the CD): Smells Like Teen Spirit is rapped beyond recognition by some very imaginative Swedes (or was it Danes? Who cares?). Rap is one thing I thought you could not do to that song...but they do it anyway. The results are horrifying, bonechilling and strange. For summing up: This CD is not outragously bad, only Scandinavian and different. (Maybe not much difference?) It deserves the star for the SLTS (I honestly did not think it was possible to actually make this song into something I could not recognize at the first bars) Don't buy it though, It's not worth the money.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid like the plague, June 29, 1999

How anyone could call this CD a tribute to Nirvana is beyond me. This is so crap it's unbelieveable. It's even got to the point where they can't even get the song titles right. "Make You Unhappy" is in fact "Sappy" a.k.a. "Verse Chorus Verse". None of these "artists" could ever come close to matching Nirvana and I really don't know why they bothered.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's not that bad at all!, January 18, 2002
This review is from: Tribute to Nirvana (Audio CD)
Hey this is a great CD for real Nirvan fans! It can't be as good as Nirvana, but I think it's cool that we can hear some really weird covers... Smells Like Teen Spirit - RAP? Haha, you have to hear this! In some songs the lyrics are not perfectly correct, but it doesn't matter. The only litlle detail that disturbed me, was the last tone in the main riff of Come As You Are. You'll know what I mean when you buy the CD. ;)
Anyway, when I got this album, I listened to it, like, 10 times in a row. It really is interesting. Those strict fans who hate other bands imitating Nirvana - stick to bootlegs. But I would really recommend this CD to people who would like to hear something different.
Nirvana forever! :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Could it get any worse?, May 15, 2000

This was like a mockery of Nirvana. What is with the front cover?Nevermind , in my opinion was not even the best CD by Nirvana.I did not like this CD at all.I thought it should have been called something more like "Imitations of Nirvana" or possibly "We Wish We Were Nirvana".Nirvana was a huge band of the 90's and changed music forever, and they should not be copied by bands that wish they had as much talent.
