2.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre Tribute
Nothing really new jumps out of this collection. If anything, this tribute album brings nothing to the table, lacking the original spark and fire of NE. The other reviewer is under the mistaken assumption that one of the members of NE is German but isn't. (They are British.)

Only once in a while do you hear a tribute that's so good it's almost embarrassing for the original artist, and this is one! Kromor and XP8 injected these Nitzer Ebb classics with intense growling basslines and weapons-grade percussion that triggered little orgasms in my auditory cortex. These tracks stimulate the dancefloor neurons directly, bypassing all conscious thought processes. They're simple, in-your-face and loud as a Soviet tractor engine; hard and dark but still dynamic, fluid and seductive. Play this CD in your car when driving to a club, or in your bedroom for a wild romp with a platform-booted señorita. I got very conclusive results.

The production is very similar to that of Northborne's Force It, another recent project by former Icon of Coil member Christian Lund, also highly recommended.

Though some will consider my words blasphemy, I think NE's first two EP's are only okay and they began to really show their talent with Showtime and just got better after that. I like these covers of the releases from That Total Age much better than the originals, and I find the covers of Control I'm Here interesting. Toohill's vocals are great and match the music quite well. Only 4 stars for not enough variety in songs.

I think I bought this CD two years ago. My brother got me into Nitzer Ebb when I was a teen, and I stumbled upon this CD on itunes when I was looking for music by the real Nitzer Ebb. I'm so glad I did. They took already good songs, updated them and kicked them up a notch. I listen to these songs in my ipod while running, listen to them in the car. I've become out of touch with popular music now because I can't stop listening to this CD and rarely turn on my radio. One of my coworkers heard me playing the music in my car and said he liked it. My boyfriend asked me who the band was, and my dad listened to it while changing the tires on my car and said he really liked it too. It's awesome.
