Recently, I got this CD. Vernon is a jazz guitarist and has friends who are also guitarists. If you are a heavy metal fan, you must know Greg Howe, Kiko Loureiro and Bill Hudson. They and other wonderful musicians are playing in this CD.Vernon's performance in "Isn't She Lovely" is soft and filled with joy. It sounds as if it tells me how lovely she is! "Superstition" became a cool heavy metal version. Bill's riff and shred makes this song really heavy. And Carlos is my favorite singer! In "Don't You Worry Bout A Thing", Kiko's performance is feathery and comfortable. I LOVE both of his "Universo Inverso" style and Angra style. Cristopher's vocal in "For Once In My Life" is impressive. To tell you the truth, I was moved to tears. I swear you will feel the same. All songs in this CD convey happy and positive emotions. Vernon and his friends' performances are wonderful. And I'd like to say one more thing. This time, I've realized again that Stevie Wonder is a great songwriter. You know, he is blind, so he may have many hard times and this may be very difficult for him. But his music is positive and filled with love. It makes people feel happy.

This is an incredible release by Vernon Neilly. The production on the disc is amazing and the variety that is provided by an all star line-up of musicians is refreshing. It also brings a great mixture of instrumental and vocal tracks which can keep even the average listener hooked. This is a must have for any fan of the amazing Stevie Wonder.

With much respect, love and affection by these outstanding musicians, here you can enjoy various types of arrangements in diverse styles. This album proves Stevie's music is everlasting and there is no boundary of genre and category for him! Although half of numbers are instrumental, their emotional playing with remarkable intonation and articulation is just like singing then I find myself humming together. My favorite is "10. Isn't She Lovely (Instrumental)." Vernon's velvety tone of guitar comes straight to my heart as if I'm having vintage wine. I believe that one of missions of a tribute album is taking listeners into a world of original recordings. This album definitely succeeds in it and I especially hope the young have interest in Stevie's original songs too if they haven't become enamored with his music yet. Sorry for my selfish request but I'd love to get the vol.2 of this album ASAP!!!
