5.0 out of 5 stars You want money? Spend it to buy this book!
Anyone who has read any Stuart Wilde book, knows that he brings a simple, yet unique, perspective and insight. This book is another example of that. While this book is in NO WAY a "how to get rich quick" format, what it IS, is a way of seeing money like invisible energy waves and Stuart gives you the frequency to pick it up and receive it. Simple things like "acceptence"...

1.0 out of 5 stars Negative overwhelms the positive.
This book was originally purchased about 5 years ago, then packed away. Three things I remembered about it were: the woman who won the lottery, picking up coins every time you find them, and the negative comments about Mother Theresa. I came across it the other day and decided to read it again. However, I'm in a very different place now than I was then. This time I...

Simple things like "acceptence" of money through picking up even a gum-encrusted penny from the ground, so as to respect money in a way that draws it to you. It's like Wayne Dyer's philosophy of "everything is connected to everything, so surround yourself with the energy of the conditions you want and they will become real." In other words, if you focus on scarcity, that is what you are attracting. If you focus on abundance, that is what you will attract. Simply put, if you pay attention to the money that comes to you (be it from getting $5 from a lottery win, double your money from a slot machine, or a nickel found in the gutter) and appreciate it, then more will follow, and follow, and follow. And he also talks about the Karmic ramifications of aquiring money dishonestly.
He also talks about intention and will, using a nice "drowning" analogy along the lines of: If you were underwater and something had your leg, how much energy would you give to your intention and will to break free? Then compare the level of THAT to how much energy you are willing to give to your intention and will to break free from your present financial situation.
While I have not made a million bucks through this book, I can directly link this book's information to the financial abundance I have been enjoying in the years since I first read it.
It's not a "Rich Dad/Poor Dad" kind of book, but more like a "If there is a trillion dollars available to you, how dedicated would you be to go find it?" kind of book.

That's My Opinion But You're Welcome To It

5.0 out of 5 stars The first time I read this book, I did not have any money..., June 13, 2002

The first time I read this book, I did not have any money... and it was a huge inspiration.

As I am re-reading it now, I am earning more money than I had ever dared hope for, and it is still a big inspiration.

This book is spot on about how the universe works, so far as I understand it presently.

It is not about how money is terribly important, but rather about how to be set free from having to worry about them all the time. Get this book.

There are many books of this type ("think your way ahead" as it were), but I think that Wilde in this one strikes an unusually good balance between "you just need to think right", and "getting rich is a hands-on process" (the latter is actually a phrase from the book itself.) If you are so god-like you can manifest a billion any day you want, you probably also don't really care much about money, so odds are that if you do care, you have to work a *little* in addition to tuning into the right flows. :-)

---
I will add a comment about the reviewer who feels that this book is "unethical". He must be reading it like the Devil reads the Bible. Stuart Wilde very clearly does not advocate ripping off anybody. He clearly states that larceny is bad for karma and is just an affirmation of inability to play the game. The restaurant example is just an illustration of a mental attitude.
I must say though that the reviewer is right that Think And Grow Rich is also a good book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Metaphysical Money Attraction Book!, May 20, 2005
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The Trick to Money Is Having Some (Paperback)
I've read so many self-help/new age books on the topic of attracting more money into your life and, over the years, I've kept coming back to this one. It's practical and makes perfect sense. The problem with other new-agish books is that they make you believe that all you have to do is "visualize" and "chant" your way to a fortune when that isn't reality. Stuart Wilde gives you the REAL DEAL on how the metaphysical part works BUT that you have to have action in the marketplace; and he gives some damned good ideas on how to make a fortune. This tops the metaphysical "money attraction" books, hands down! His other book, The Little Money Bible, is also highly recommended. Both of these books together is all anyone would need to get into the flow of money in their lives! It's worked for me...Helped me turn a losing business into $4.2 million a year!

5.0 out of 5 stars Flippant, energy-shifting, life-changing book, March 16, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Trick to Money Is Having Some (Paperback)
The "Wilde man" does it again, with another in-your-face, flippant book that tosses dogma to one side and makes you see how simple life's rules really are. He's outrageous, and probably intends to be, just to get you to step out of traditional drone-like ("tick tock") thinking and create your own life and realities. Something to offend everyone in this book (as usual), and something to break through the daily snooze and fracture your (unhealthy) complacency.

If you are NOT willing to make uncomfortable (at first) changes, don't read Wilde. If you are willing to consider the outrageous, his books are a bargain too good to miss. His wit alone makes each of his books worthwhile. This one reveals the money game to be largely an internal quest for self-acceptance, and vitality, and points out that energy is what's valuable in today's society.

This review is from: The Trick to Money Is Having Some (Paperback)
I have read a few other Wilde books but this one has had the most impact on my day-to-day life. The others are also great books which I will have to process later on (Read "Miracles" if you are interested in metaphysically bettering your life). I read this book about three weeks ago and my income is about double to triple what it used to be. I am charging 30-100% more for my services and I provide them with more "zing" than I ever did. And I have more work on top of it all! I feel much better about working - it's almost 100% fun again! Now note that I am self-employed but even if you're not, you will make more money and feel better about it if you follow the suggestions in this book. If nothing else, it will make you think - really think about why you might not have more money than you do right now. At this price, you have to try it, it's worth hundred times more than its price. You will understand why Wilde is just happy as a clam to sell this information at such a low price - it increases his abundance to share it! Fantastic book, enough said. Get it today!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Trick to Money is Reading this Book!, April 2, 2000
This review is from: The Trick to Money Is Having Some (Paperback)
If money, both making and keeping it, has ever been an issue in your life, you can't afford not to read this book. Wilde teaches us not to take it all so seriously and then slips in very subtle but powerful techniques that will have you in abundance in no time. First and foremost, Wilde will teach you to laugh at yourself...and others...in remarkably healing ways. Not for the weak minded, Wilde makes you think it through and come to an understanding that works in the financial world today. My net worth has improved immensely since discovering this book. He will make you mad, then have you laughing. All in all, better entertainment than a movie, more healing than a session with your shrink and more workable financial savvy than my broker ever hinted of!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, December 10, 2003
By
This review is from: The Trick to Money Is Having Some (Paperback)
This is a brilliant book. I took ages to read it, but that's because I wanted the ideas to sink in, to fully understand them before moving on to the next section.

Stuart Wilde writes in a very matter-of-fact, let's-laugh-at-ourselves fashion. He presents the facts, throws in a some twists and turns to shock you, and in the end, it all makes sense.

If you have issues with money (and it seems to me that just about everyone does) and you're seeking a better understanding of the whys and wherefores about our monetary systems and how they work from both a practical and a spiritual perspective, this is the book to read.

Versions published after 1998 or so, include a section at the end entitled, `Strategies for the Millennium and Beyond'. A large part of this section has so influenced my way of thinking now, that I have a clearer picture of where my destiny lies. It has solidified for me that how I hope to change the world, is a vision shared by many. My ideas of reform in society, how we value people and service, not only can change, but IS changing, NOW.

The Trick to Money is Having Some! helps you decide how important money is or isn't to your life. It shows you how to reframe your view of finances into something easier to cope with. It gets you to really decide how much you need, desire or welcome money into your life. It clarifies your relationship with money and value systems.

If money confuses you, this book will give you a fresh take that may just resolve some of those financial issues. It has for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Read It--Then RE-Read It!, April 6, 2002
By
This review is from: The Trick to Money Is Having Some (Paperback)
Stuart Wilde is always delightful, and his writing style is a lot of fun. But THIS book really changed my attitudes about money and making it. Never sell yourself short, he says, and never be ashamed of being in business and making the moolah. "When they show up, BILL 'em!" That advice alone makes this book worth MUCH, MUCH more than its cover price!! HIGHLY recommended!
