Something different, but a bit boring!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Trickside (Audio CD)
Tricksides album is a taste of something different that i've never heard before. A mix of Latin sounding music mixed with a good beat. After i heard their first hit, "Under You", i was really excited to hear the rest of the album. After hearing it, I was extremely surprised. Even though most of the songs have a great beat, the lyrics just aren't worth listening to. I original though i would give this album 4 stars, but i listened to it a few more times, and the songs just started to get really old fast. The songs just didn't keep my interest. Heavy Rain was an alright song, along with coming down. Freak Out was the only song that really stuck out to me. The other songs are just kind of there, but Superstar had to be the worst song of all. As for buying the album, i won't, but i having a feeling if they keep on working on their music, their next album could be a smash hit!

All you have to do is take one listen to "Under You." It will get you hooked to their music. Very catchy lyrics and the beat to each song is amazing. Definitely recommend this cd to anyone who likes music period.

Something Different,

I first heard "Avalon" while at work, listening to Launch Cast, and immediately fell in love with it. I listen to it often, and unlike one reviewer, have yet to get bored with it. This music is something different than what is being played on the waves today - unique, and I love this guy's voice ! This is a very pleasant compilation and I enjoy it immensely.

Trickside Rocks,

This CD is filled with great, literate power pop. The single "Under You" has a slick feel, but gritty lyrics. "Hollywood", "Heavry Rain" and "Beautiful Thing" will each stick with you. Buy it and you will not be disappointed.

Amazing Debut CD,
By A Customer

Upon listening to the debut CD by Trickside, I was immediately impressed by the musical maturity and range these brothers possess. They are far from the manufactured "boy bands" we hear so much today. Rather, they have created their own style (singing, playing the instruments and composing all the songs) while displaying influences from artists ranging from Billy Joel, Led Zepplin and the Beatles. While they take from these classics, they update the sound to make it their own and very relevant in 2001. I've had the pleasure of seeing Trickside perform live. Let me tell you, the sounds you hear are REAL, not put together by studio wizards. Thier music has a maturity that will appeal to adults while still having the hooks to pull in the young audience as well. Under You is a real pop hit, but watch out for Freak Out...it's a rocker that will blow you away. Buy this CD NOW! I haven't turned it off since I bought it! Trickside is destined to become the next superstars..watch out for them as they quickly climb the charts.
