Product Description

FishPop is a fun fast paced game with fish that pop when you touch them. It's fun for all ages.

If you like to let your kids play with your expensive mobile devices then this is the game for you. Guaranteed to provide endless minutes of near silence interrupted only by the sound of giggles and popping fish.

Survival: How many fish can you pop before all the fish escape? Tens? Hundreds? thousands? Hit the Chum Can when it drops to lure in more fish. Pop the Jellyfish to slow everyone down. Don’t pop the Octopus unless you want a giant ink blot the fish will hide behind.

Timed Pop: How many can you pop in 60 seconds? Keep popping the same type of fish for bonus.

Aquarium: This is nice calm mode where you can see all the fish and pop them or not. Great for toddlers trying to develop touchscreen skills. Before you know it, they’ll be texting Grandma.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well made and fun! January 21, 2012

FishPop is a well made and fun game for people of all ages. The premise of the game is to "pop" the fish that swim across the screen before they reach the other side by tapping on them. The graphics, while cartoony, are well drawn and add a unique style to the game. There are four game modes included which are Survival, Time Pop, Challenges and Aquarium (free play). While every game mode has you basically doing the same thing, popping fish, it is nice that the developer took the time to add all the game modes as it does add to the replay value. While there is no music present in the game the sound effects of the water are great and the sound effects of popping the fish are well done.

As an adult gamer the game for me is not very challenging. That is not to say that there isn't fun to be had for everyone as some of the levels really have the fish swimming by at a fast rate. For me the game is relaxing and fun to play so it will stay on my tablet. For kids this game will definitely give them a challenge and give their hand eye coordination a good work out.

I have not seen any bugs at all but as some other reviewers have mentioned you cannot hit the back button to exit the game and you must close it using the home button. This doesn't really bother me but I thought I should mention it.

I also want to mention that when you pop the fish they explode into a colorful splatter mark and some of those splatters are blood red which some people may have an issue with if they are going to let their young children play.

Overall, this is a fun and well made game. As the free app of the day you should give it a try and I do believe that it is definitely worth the normal 99 cent asking price!

4.0 out of 5 stars A little gory but simple and fun! January 22, 2012

Fish Pop is a simple game to play and it offers 12 challenges for you. You touch a fish and it explodes, (gory). If you touch a squid, he squirts out ink and hides the fish so you can't get to them behind the ink cloud. Cans of chum fall down the careen and if you touch one the chum spills and attracts more fish. The graphics are pretty good and the fish really look good! The designers did a great job with motion and graphics.

You can play in 6 survival challenges and 6 more timed pop challenges. I found the higher levels in the timed pop challenge and in the survival challenges to be more difficult, as in almost impossible.

This game is simple and you can tire of it quickly. I don't like that if you are done it stays on the screen and if you do not manually shut it down it will not let your Kindle Fire turn off automatically so your battery can run down. I also don't understand why every game has to have full Internet access on my device.

The game has no way to exit. Must force close to get it to quit running. The game is just not that good.

Really dumb game, bored in less than ten seconds after installation. I expected much more from a paid application. Sorry, try again.

this is a nice relaxing game. it looks nice. I wish it had an exit option, but that lack of a feature does not mean it is a bad game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great and relaxing game January 5, 2012
I really enjoyed this game as a stress reliever and casual game for the kids. The art is wacky (in a good way), the design is clean and it is especially easy for kids to play with and keep entertained. While I tend to be more of a hardcore gamer, sometimes you just want something easy and fun to play.

2.0 out of 5 stars You'll see all the game has to offer in about a minute. January 24, 2012

Literally nothing more than a "tap the moving object" game, the gameplay beyond this title can be found in dozens of other apps, many of them free. If you didn't pick it up when it was the Free App Of The Day, it doesn't really bring anything new to the table to justify spending money on it.

And while I don't think the "explosions" of the fish were REALLY meant to represent blood, if they really wanted to have this game targeted towards younger audiences, they should have had the fish dissipate into bubbles or something obviously non-violent after being "popped."

This game is like fruit ninja, but instead of slicing fruit, you pop fish. Very funny time waster. I like it.
