Product Description

The 47 Series are the industry's only metal break-to-fit narrow refills. The stainless steel rails are scored at 1-inch intervals from 15-inch through 26-inch to make customization a snap.

Customer Reviews

Easy to install.

Regardless of the length, the refill didn't sit flat on the glass and, therefore, didn't wipe it clean.
Jacques
These are a good alternative to wasting money replacing the entire blade assembly every 6 months.

I looked around at the auto supply and big box stores in my area. No one seems to stock these wiper blade refills any more. Wall Mart doesn't have them and one guy at Advanced Auto Parts told me that the entire blades usually fail so that's why they only stock the entire blades (at a premium price I might add) instead of these less expensive refills. He's full of it. My 12 year old truck still has the original wipers and they are in excellent shape.

My only regret is that you can't find just the rubber blades, cut them to length, and use the existing stays that you have which are stainless steel anyhow. The extruded rubber would cost only about 10cents.

The only people that give this product a really bad rating are those people that ordered the wrong size! It is clear that it is 16" to 22" and a width of 6mm. If you don't know what size you need, go measure what you have. 6mm is about a quarter of an inch (.263 inches to be more precise). And, surely you can measure the length and not be dissapointed if you order the wrong size!

Also, they aren't really up to 22". Their maximun length is 21 & 1/2" (550 mm) However, I believe they will work fine if you need a length of 22". I needed something a bit shorter so they worked excellent for me.

I've not been able to purchase wiper inserts at auto parts stores anymore. It seems they only sell the entire blade. I understand a problem having to stock so many different insert sizes but this is a waste. So, these inserts seem so logical; only the width varies. One length, adjustable, fits all. Oh yes, they do a great job wiping the windshield.

2006 Honda Element - 6mm Fit the front wipers, using the original Honda blade assemblies, on my vehicle perfectly with two sections snapped off. These are a good alternative to wasting money replacing the entire blade assembly every 6 months. Thank you TRICO for giving me a money saving option - - $6.99 +tax, per pair, at AutoZone.

Perfect fit, no need for trimming for the front wipers. Beats getting a set including blades from OEM for ~$40 since the A4/B6 version is non-standard. Not sure about durability though.

I put these in my old beam blades and the rubber type is almost identical. The thickness at the top varies at times. [...]

It's such a waste replacing the entire blade when all you need is the rubber. These do the job at a fraction of the price. If you aren't sure what size you need, you can usually bend the little metal clips on the blade in or out to adjust them to fit.

There is a tremendous amount of confusion (obfuscation?) surrounding wiper blade inserts.. These are 6mm wide (in cross section). And have a "square" cross section profile. Hence they fit a "square claw" blade. 6mm is standard narrow, while 8mm is standard "wide" there are three other cross section profiles. In my experience, the most common other than "square" is "trapezoidal" wherein the top is narrower than the middle and therefore not "square".

These narrow 8mm blades these fit Bosch aftermarket blades up to 22" such as the right side of these: Bosch 3397001539 Original Equipment Replacement Wiper Blade - 26"/22" (Set of 2). You will have to loosen one of the "claws" which is crimped on tightly so as to hold the insert in place. They will also fit Bosch Ikon beam blades but I haven't figured out how to get these inserts into the IKON beam blades yet.

These refills come with the pair of thin metal" RAILS needed to give them rigidity for use as replacement inserts. Good luck out there in the frustrating world of wiper refills!

These wipers are intended for use when all else fails. 2006 Toyota Highlander was built without a decent way to replace the rear window wiper, but these fit nicely after cutting to correct length. I'll disagree with some here that substituted these as refills. They'd be better off replacing the entire wiper assembly, or purchasing the correct replacement part rather than these universal ones. Keeping in mind the intent of these wipers, they are great.
