I wanted to buy a large digital photo frame in range of 10-15 inch with a budget of $200.I did a lot of research considering the look, resolution, aspect ratio, cost effective of a picture frame anywhere between 10-15 inches.

I saw the Tricod 15 inches earlier in amazon and I really liked it the first time i saw the pictures. But I was hesitated to buy this since there was only 1 review totally with a 5 star rating. So I started looking for some other frames with a good star rating from few ppl. I then decided to buy Sony for their rating and clarity (after reading online review and also visited Best buy, circuit city to get a physial feel of sony). But Sony's 10.5 inches costed me almost $250. Then I somehow got thinking back about Tricod and I searched reviews for this product in other sites apart from Amazon. I could find very good comments about this product in other sites and finally i decided to buy the Tricod 15inches for $199 in Amazon.

I received the product in no time from Amazon (just 2nd day after i ordered). Thx to amazon for such quick shipping for free and the product arrived beautifull packed in a big box. I inserted a SD card loaded with pictures and switched on the frame. The frame was blank and there was no display. Then I tried to do some trial and error and then figured out that everytime you switch on the frame, make sure the SD or any other memory card was removed. Once the frame display comes, then insert the memory card and you are all set viewing your pictures.

overall i'm very much SATISIFED with Amazon and TRICOD. I really adore the beauty if this thing and the crystal clear elegant pictures it displays. Worth more than every penny I spent on this. I gurantee anyone looking for a 15 inch picture frame in a budget to get this and you will never ever be disappointed. So don't worry about only 2 user ratings, this product ROCcccckkss....Don't hesitate to buy this as I did and waste your time researching.

Note: I started to do little performance testing now. I made the frame to be kept on and display pictures for 2 continous days and there are NO ISSUES. It is still running perfectly and no software issues.

I purchased this digital frame due to the very reasonable price.
I must say the screen quality and the look of the unit are excellent.

But...it comes with a 1 year warranty, with no name, address, e-mail address or phone number of the company listed on the box or in the instruction manual. So, who is giving this warranty?

Amazon shows it paired with an 8 GB card to buy as a set. The manual does not give the card sizes that will work...but i could only get it to work with 1 GB and 2 GB cards. I could not get it to work with any SDHC 4 or 8 GB cards......which is common on older digital cameras and card readers.

The instuction manual is pretty bad with no phone or address to contact for support/help.

Now that I finally got it working, the picture is great!

Quality of LCD and cosmetic frame is excellent. No problems out of the box. Very good controls (no touch screen) for randomization of photos, contrast and brightness. Setup menu is a little cumbersome, but easily intuitive. No problems encountered uploading and displaying photo or video files supported to either on board 1GB mem or to SD card. Files would delete easily also. Time to load is pretty quick using a full to capacity 4GB SD card as test. Sound is only OK, but what do you expect from a DPF?
Remote worked fine, but has about 6 foot range at best.
Only bummer is that it has no auto screen saver feature if you choose to display a static picture, otherwise excellent value for price.

Bought as a Christmas gift for parents and photo frame still works fine - no problems. Nice product.

I received this product in working order and then packaged it up again and gave it as a gift. The recipient could not view photos from USB drive and there was one pixel that remained lighted with the same color at all times. Called Tricod and got an RMA number. Sent to them via FedEx. They received it on 7/22/09. They have not responded to my many emails and I can't get through to them via phone. Today is 8/19/09 and I do not have the product and I do not have my money. I gave them [...] and I have nothing to show for it. Do not purchase from these people.

Bought as gift for my father who is not computer literate. Photo quality is very good and the slide show presentation is very eye-catching. He was very pleased with his gift. He'll have a great variety of photos to view of family and scenery.

I purchased this frame after doing several hours of research as it seemed a good combination of quality and price.

This was bought for my father's 90th birthday. He is not the most tech-savvy guy but probably above average for his age bracket.

When I set up the frame for him I found the remote control to be somewhat tempermental and the menus a bit confusing. There is a long delay between when the unit is turned on and when the display lights up (on the order of 30 seconds). I could use the power On/Off button on the side of the frame to turn it on, but did not have luck getting the slide show started without using the remote.

I did get it running and my dad was delighted with the photos we had put on a 2GB SD (not HC) card. I did not have a chance to try copying photos to the internal memory.

However, now that I am home (250 miles away) I hear that nobody has been able to get the frame to turn on again. Because of the delay and the somewhat touchy nature of the remote, I am having a great deal of difficulty trouble-shooting the problem remotely.

At this point, I don't want to dismiss these difficulties as either poor product design or a defective product, but I am frustrated that I have to even worry about it.

I like this one- I only had it a few hours though so I will respond back after using it longer.
It is a crisp & clear & super easy to use- plug it in, put in a card, hit power.
Wish the frame wasn't so bulky but, the picture is great & the size of your picture is as promised.
15" diag. so your picture will be all but, 9" x 12".

Note: they do show this with a SDHC card but, the box only lists SD - However I just put in a SDHC extreme 4g & it worked fine.

I purchased this product in May 2009 and was pleased with the ease of use and beautiful high resolution picture quality. However, after only 5 months, the frame developed intermittent display problems and sometimes would not work at all. I tried contacting Tricod via their website and phone repeatedly without success. I received no replies to emails and the phone continally had a message that "No one is available to take your call. Please call back." I tried phoning different days of the week, different times of day for a month with essentially the same results. On two occasions, I reached someone: the first said that they were not in support and would have support contact me within the hour (no one did); the second asked me to send an email and an RMA number would be provided (no email came). I will never purchase anything from Tricod again.

The unit was easy enough to load with photos and it did a nice job of displaying them. However when it comes to video it is a different story. Have tried every format they "say" works to no avail. So if you want to display any video - this is not the unit for you.
