I switched out my turn signals to use LED's instead of bulbs, and got the all-too-common quick-flashing issue. For those unaware of what this is, the existing flasher relay expects the load from the lights to be of a certain level - if this level isn't met, it flashes quickly. The idea behind it is actually pretty clever - if one of your bulbs goes out, then it the load will be less, it will flash faster, and presumably you'll notice the difference and check your lights. Unfortunately, all LED's draw next to nothing in terms of power, so they relay (rightly so) decides the bulb must be bad. One of the more common solutions (which is absolutely terrible, IMO), is to put inline resistors to consume addition current in order to allow the system to see the load. The much smarter solution is just replace the flasher relay with one which is designed to work with LED's - and that's where our story leads to the EP35.

As far as this flasher relay over any other - if it flashes my lights, it's done it's job, so I'm not sure what else you might have to say, except maybe in terms of reliability - and I'll update my post if it fails. Otherwise, this is a plugin-replacement for the existing relay. Now, it's important to point out that not all flasher relays are the same - and further, not all 3-pin flasher relays are either. This particular relay (the EP35) is primarily used on European cars, and as such, is wired backward to most American/Japanese cars. I make this point so that you first verify that this is the correct positive, load, negative configuration that you need. If it is, then good luck and enjoy your LED turn signals! :)

After trying three other flasher relays in my 1983 VW Vanagon, this one worked great with my LED turn signals. I tried a cheap China 'electronic' flasher, a Grote model, and an Hella model that were all supposedly 'Electronic', but this is the only one that gives me a 70/30 make-break for my turn signals and hazard flashers and I dont have to stick my arm out the window anymore.

Amazon says its incompatible, but their database is wrong. It works fine.

Based on some online research, I ordered this to fix a hyper-blink issue with my 2002 Toyota Tacoma (after swapping out the front turn signals with LEDs). Correct fitment. No more hyper-blink, issue resolved!

Easy install, took me about 15 minutes. 10mm socket and Phillips screwdriver required.

1. Uninstall lower dash panel by removing four 10mm bolts and one Phillips screw.

2. Uninstall fuse block by removing two 10mm bolts. Remove OEM flasher (located near the top of the fuse block) and replace with EP35 flasher.

3. Reverse steps to complete swap.

Much quicker/better solution vs. adding inline resistors!

Works great -plug and play- in my Toyota van to cure it of the hyper-blink syndrome post LED install. The hardest part of the install was accessing the oem relay as the geniuses in Japan thought it would be clever to place it behind the instrument cluster. Half of the dashboard (slightly exaggerating) had to come out!

This flasher will fix tweaker blinkers (rapid flashing) on compatible vehicles when using LED turn signals.

This worked on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma with LED turn signals. Replaced the factory flasher relay and now the LED turn signals work like normal.

Using a proper relay like this one is a much better solution than using resistors that will draw as much power as the halogen bulbs your LED turn signals replaced.

Fixes "hyperf-click" turn signal when you swap to led lights that have less electrical resistance. On my 1999 4runner it was a pretty easy swap. Old relay was behind the fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel. you can hear it clicking when your turn signal is going. plug and play replacment, very easy

Blinks just a little too fast for my taste, but it definitely allows me to use only LEDs in my 1983 Volvo 240 DL. It's just a hair faster than any other car on the road, not a deal breaker, and it works as advertised.

Installed a winch bumper on my 93 4Runner which meant my bumper mounted turn signals were now a no go. Turn signals wired into park lights now but the park lights are a 194 bulb where as the old turn signals were and 1156, the 194 are much lower wattage so the turn signal rate was fast. Direct plug in for the factory flasher, new flasher even mounts perfectly to the mounting bracket. Great solution, much better than wiring in resistors.
