5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Album
I took a risk on purchasing this album after only hearing one song(Scornful Love) and was thoroughly impressed and pleased with the entire cd! These guys mix haunting goth themes with a hard edge.Every song is a keeper. Scornful Love, Desire, Tried and Failed and On Thin Ice are the best tracks.A must for fans of 69 Eyes, HIM and Entwine.

Lately I been getting more into the darker side of Metal and Rock, this album came to mind and so I checked this very page your reading. Seeing only one rather brief but to the point review I figured I would throw in my two cents on the album. EverEve are not Metal they are Hard Rock or Industrial at their 'heaviest' points. 2.0 out of 5 stars Album doesn't really go anywhere, May 12, 2011

Props to this outfit for throwing in thrashy techno drums, but the songs don't really progress beyond their basic riffs. I suppose this is fine if you're more a fan of punk rock or hardcore than metal, but I was hoping for more depth to the music or at least a catchy tempo. If you're looking for industrial metal, do yourself a favor and check out bands like The Kovenant, Deathstars, Pain, and Gothminister. They showcase much more skill in songwriting while capturing the essence of pure hard gothic sound.

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent Goth Rock Outfit..., June 2, 2009

Lately I been getting more into the darker side of Metal and Rock, this album came to mind and so I checked this very page your reading. Seeing only one rather brief but to the point review I figured I would throw in my two cents on the album. EverEve are not Metal they are Hard Rock or Industrial at their 'heaviest' points. Though due to the darker style of their music I would label them Gothic Rock, just my opinion.

Moving on, we have a rather simplistic sound here using basic chords and some rather interesting but not so skillful programming in the Keyboard department. Where EverEve shine and even tend to leave many of the bands they are often compared to is the sheer catchy style of the music. To the point, their music is focused more on the vocals rather then the instruments.

With dark, catchy and rather provocative lyrical content and a vocalist with a crisp voice and a sinister attitude it's no wonder a select few have become fans of the group. I included the Music Video for the track "You're Mine", the video isn't the greatest but it'll give you a chance to hear a full song. All in all a rather generic sound backed by a slightly original style that can come off as fairly perverse but interesting. Thanks for reading.
