Biography

“While the words Passion, Pain and Pleasure immediately invoke sexual thoughts, for me they have become somewhat of a personal mantra because they so accurately describe this time in my life,” says Trey Songz. “The passion I have for my art fuels my drive and work ethic, while the sacrifice of my personal life to benefit my career will always be a source of pain. Contrary to popular demand, I'm disappointed in this album. I've been a Trey Songz fan for years and to me, it seems he's felt the need to get more explicit with his lyrics. The songs just doesn't have substance and it doesn't take much thought to talk about sexing multiple women. I expected him to have grown more since this is his 6th album. But its the same ole same ole. And I'm trying to figure out does he want to be considered a rapper or an R&B singer. I just can't tell anymore.

got say trey songz sixth studio album is lackluster but has some gems on it however I agree with the fan who gave it 2 stars trey been slippin lately. He needs to realize that his 1st 3 albums were bonafide bangers compared to his last few lps. Also, I recommend getting joe's bridges or toni braxton & babyface lp causes their miles better than trigga.

Trey songz brings out a banger with this new album! I've always like trey songz however found that through most of his albums the songs are very repetitive, there are always standouts in his albums but mostly filled in with mediocre tracks. Trigga is a straight mix of 90s sexy r&b and the production and relevance of modern day r&b. There's no real standout songs but from the first listen to the 1000th listen you can chill and listen to all and appreciate the entire album. There are songs such as "cake", "na na", and "mr steal your girl" that you can get down with your woman to, and there are tracks that just make you wanna vibe out such as "all we do", "dead wrong", and "YAS" There are obvious filler tracks but they're not overly terrible that you'll need to skip.

I would have to say this is one of treys best albums, and can't wait for what he's got planned with breezy on tour!

My personal standouts
Cake
Foreign remix - JBs nasally voice actually does pretty well in this song
Na Na
All we do - favourite song
YAS
Mr steal your girl
Dead wrong

Every triangle has three sides. One side is the R&B-Balladeer side. This was the smoothest of the sides and I loved it totally! The second side is the explicit side. It just seems to me that he thinks by calling women *itches and men *astards that his fan base will grow. Multiple sexual positions is another must. It seems to me that if he is as true to his calling, he could drop a cd without alla that. The third side is his rapper side. Quite a few raps by Trey, but he's not a rapper. He's a crooner. It took awhile for me, but it didn't get any better, so when he makes up his mind about which direction he want to go, then he'll find me.

I Love, Love, Love... Did I Say LOVE??? LOL!!! I Love This Album! Every song! Usually there are songs that you bypass when you listen to an artist's full album, but I listen to this one continuously - without any interruptions to change to the next track and on Repeat!!! I purchased the album on it's release date of July 1 and I know every song! I think this is his best album and my favorite!
