Great new In Flames disc, go get it NOW, July 5, 2003
This review is from: Trigger (Audio CD)
To all the In Flames fans: get this cd now. It's only 5 tracks, but a head banger at that. To start, it opens with Trigger, a great song, but they cut out a little too much for the single edit version. The second track is Watch Them Feed, which is the best song on the cd. I dont know what the hell the other dude was thinking, but the cover of Land of Confusion was mind-blowing. I loved it, and to everyone else who has half a brain: trust me, you will love it too. Next comes the remix for Cloud Connected; another great tune. Lastly comes the Moonshield remix, which is the only track that doesn't amuse me. This is why this EP gets four stars instead of five. Ladies and gents, this is worth your time, and it will enhance your In Flames collection. Also, look for In Flames on tour with Soilwork, Unearth, and Chimaira. I dont know Unearth or Chimaira, but check 'em out on tour.

As good as "Soundtrack", August 26, 2005
This review is from: Trigger (Audio CD)
In flames was really at the top of their game right here. I know most die hard fans think that Clayman was the last of great In Flames, but I'm of the camp that the Reroute to Remain era was just as great. This really is a must have for anyone who's stayed with In Flames as they've progressed.
The Land of Confusion cover proves that the depeche mode "Everything Counts" cover was just the beginning of what could be an entire disc of incredible covers.
"Watch them Feed" is the 'standard' In Flames newbie. Its very strong and worthy of being on any of their albums. The fact that there are 3 songs unique to this disc makes it hard to pass on.
You'll also dig the remix of Cloud Connected if you like any techno/electronica. This disc is really evidence that In Flames is much more than a cookie cutter metal band. Something their versatile fans have recognized all along. If you love Reroute to Remain and Whoracle (2 discs which I group together despite the 2 albums in between), you'll love this.

A treat for die hard fans., January 17, 2005
This review is from: Trigger (Audio CD)
Though it may not be an essential buy, this EP was a real treat for die hard fans. The EP begins with the single edit of Trigger. Its shortened a tad from the album version. Track 2 is where it gets good with Watch Them Feed, which is a rip roaring hard track. The real gem is track 3 which is a cover of Genesis's Land of Confusion. I was curious how the cover would sound and to my surprise it was really good. Some fans will no doubt hate it but I dug it. After that we get some really pointless remixes of Cloud Connected and Moonshield. Basically your gonna buy this EP for two tracks, Watch them Feed and Land of Connfusion. For fans like me, its worth every penny.
