Great new In Flames disc, go get it NOW,
By inflamesmaster666 (Toms River, NJ, USA) - See all my reviews

To all the In Flames fans: get this cd now. It's only 5 tracks, but a head banger at that. To start, it opens with Trigger, a great song, but they cut out a little too much for the single edit version. The second track is Watch Them Feed, which is the best song on the cd. I dont know what the hell the other dude was thinking, but the cover of Land of Confusion was mind-blowing. I loved it, and to everyone else who has half a brain: trust me, you will love it too. Next comes the remix for Cloud Connected; another great tune. Lastly comes the Moonshield remix, which is the only track that doesn't amuse me. This is why this EP gets four stars instead of five. Ladies and gents, this is worth your time, and it will enhance your In Flames collection. Also, look for In Flames on tour with Soilwork, Unearth, and Chimaira. I dont know Unearth or Chimaira, but check 'em out on tour.

As good as "Soundtrack",

In flames was really at the top of their game right here. I know most die hard fans think that Clayman was the last of great In Flames, but I'm of the camp that the Reroute to Remain era was just as great. This really is a must have for anyone who's stayed with In Flames as they've progressed.
The Land of Confusion cover proves that the depeche mode "Everything Counts" cover was just the beginning of what could be an entire disc of incredible covers. "Watch them Feed" is the 'standard' In Flames newbie. Its very strong and worthy of being on any of their albums. The fact that there are 3 songs unique to this disc makes it hard to pass on. You'll also dig the remix of Cloud Connected if you like any techno/electronica. This disc is really evidence that In Flames is much more than a cookie cutter metal band. Something their versatile fans have recognized all along. If you love Reroute to Remain and Whoracle (2 discs which I group together despite the 2 albums in between), you'll love this.

A treat for die hard fans.,

Though it may not be an essential buy, this EP was a real treat for die hard fans. The EP begins with the single edit of Trigger. Its shortened a tad from the album version. Track 2 is where it gets good with Watch Them Feed, which is a rip roaring hard track. The real gem is track 3 which is a cover of Genesis's Land of Confusion. I was curious how the cover would sound and to my surprise it was really good. Some fans will no doubt hate it but I dug it. After that we get some really pointless remixes of Cloud Connected and Moonshield. Basically your gonna buy this EP for two tracks, Watch them Feed and Land of Connfusion. For fans like me, its worth every penny.

Watch Them Feed smokes,
By Christopher (Denver, Colorado, USA) - See all my reviews

Seriously, this EP is worth getting for In Flames fans. Watch Them Feed is their best pure metal track since Whoracle, and could easily fit in on that album. Land of Confusion is also -really- entertaining.
The rest you can take or leave. I was not disappointed at all spending eight or so dollars on this disc.

Get it if you consider yourself a true In Flames fan,

I must say that I became an In Flames fan since I first heard the Whoracle album a few years ago, since then I liked so much In Flames and I bought all their albums, they are a very talented band, but when the single trigger came out I wasn't shure if I should get it because I've read some bad reviews, but then I told to myself: you have doubts about getting this single? and you consider yourself an In Flames fan? then I picked the single and I must say I didn't regret it, this single is a gem, first we have the single for trigger a great song from Reroute to Remain, then we have two new songs, I believe one of them is a cover, watch them feed and land of confusion, both great powerful tracks in the most pure In Flames style, then there's the remix of cloud connected which is a very enjoyable alternate version of the original, and then the karaoke version of moonshield, first time I heard it I didn't get it much but after listening to it a couple of times more I started to apreciate it, and finally the the two enhanced videos for trigger & cloud connected make this single a complete and worth having CD for In Flames fans.

In Flames is great,

To educate PhattMatt58, the song that In Flames covers on this album is indeed "Land of Confusion" by Genesis, it is not just another song with the same name, had you actually listened to both songs you would know this.
Otherwise, The progression of In Flames is a journey in of itself. Those who don't like a band after they change or evolve really need to pay more attention to the music and not like it for just the way it sounds like so many others do. People grow up the same way bands do. Some age better than others. And I say In Flames is aging very well.

Maybe I'm the only one who hasn't climbed aboard the In Flames bandwagon yet, but that may change. I picked this cd up on the sole reason that I knew I'd get some exposure to In Flames, and it would be cheap. Sure it's only a few songs and many of them are remixes, but whatever. I'm honestly impressed so far. The band captures a good agression while still being catchy. I know that a lot of people aren't too happy with the direction that they have taken recently, but I can't comment on that yet. Here is a breakdown of what I think:
1. Trigger - Very cool track, heavy but catchy. I dig the scream and the singing. The guitars a thick and the drums are on point. There is a little hint of industrial to the track which complements it nicely. From what I understand they cut up the original version of the song a bit on here, so I'm pretty geeked to hear the full version. 2. Watch Them Feed - I would compare this track to the current "metalcore" (Atreyu, Killswitch Engage) sound that is coming to a Warped Tour near you. It's a really good track though. I really enjoy it. Cool breakdowns and still thick as a concrete wall but extremely catchy. It's refreshing to hear serious guitar work on new albums... it seems like real guitar is a thing of the past. This was a breath of fresh air. 3. Land Of Confusion - Awesome and intense. Reminescent of old Ministry at First. Definitely a dope track. What's with all of the Genesis covers lately? Did I miss something? 4. Cloud Connected - Another great track. I REALLY need to get deeper into In Flames' music. This is a remix and it is still really good. 5. Moonshield - This version of the song is pretty lame. Maybe if I knew what the original sounded like, this may be worth something to me. As it stands I'd be more than happy to never hear this track ever again... ever. 6. Trigger video - pretty cool. Good to see the band in action. There are some pretty cool stop effects in the video. It's cool just to have, but I probably won't go out of my way to watch it too mutch. 7. Cloud Connected Video - Awesome video. Cool camera panning with just about every beat. This one will get a few watches out of me. After hearing this cd, I will be buying more In Flames stuff in the VERY near future. I would recommend this EP to anyone who is new to the band and like me, wanted a cheap in.

this is amazing, trigger and cloud connected are both sick. And the one kid that said in flames lost emotion is retarded. Have you heard the corus to trigger? Its full of emotion so your obviously retarded.

A Good EP, for what it is.,

Why does everybody give this EP/Single such a bad rating? Sure it's only meant for the die-hard fan, but there's nothing bad on it. You get one new song, one new Genesis cover song, two remixes (the first one sucks, but the second one is cool), and the title track. The new song sounds something like the tracks on Reroute to Remain, so if you like that album you'll want to hear this song. Older In Flames fans who can't don't like their updated sound won't like this, but if you have a more open mind to newer music then you'll dig this.
