I am thrilled with the dependable signal my Trigger Happy is giving me. Like another reviewer, I was an early Kickstarter backer of this project and have now owned my cable for several months without any problems when paired with my iPhone 3GS and iPad (1st gen). I was only compelled to write this review to reflect a difference in opinion from one of the reviewers above. The main thing lacking with this cable is a more dynamic app for triggering my Canon cameras.

I bought the Trigger Happy remote for my Rebel T2i originally for a time lapse of a snowfall. I ordered it the day before the snow hit, so I missed the snowfall BUT I got lucky because the weather heated up over the next few days and I caught the snow melt! It being the beginning of the winter season, I'm sure that I'll have another opportunity to catch a big snow dump. The cable comes with a free download of the Trigger Happy app in the App Store. The app is pretty self explanatory and the cable just plugs into your iPod/iPhone and camera. Simple. Easy. Good Product.

Was super psyched to try this, but it was a waste of time. The control requires an app, which is fine because most of these similar items do (i.e. triggertrap). However, the app won't download and the customer service just ignored my multiple emails.

I was under the impression from the Kickstarter page that this would work on any android device, after reading the reviews I have found that apparently it needs a certain amount of voltage from the headphone jack to work, and many (looks like most) do not meet the minimum requirement. Without this, the product will not work in any capacity. I tried to change the settings to exactly what was mentioned (and these settings were stupidly difficult to find as the product comes with ZERO instructions) but was unable to get it to work in any mode. The $50 for this product seems extreme when all you get is a simple cable, and the app does not seem complicated or well designed, the fact that it comes with zero instructions and the Trigger Happy website has zero information is down right insulting. This product should not be sold on Amazon until the company sets up a support system and gives clarification on what works and what doesn't.

I am extremely disappointed in this product, it sounded great in concept but for many users (not all) it is a total flop and waste of money. While some may experience success with this product I would strongly encourage you to check out the comments on the kickstarter page as well as reviews on the android app before purchasing.
