I am glad to have purchased this item. Works well for my needs. Folds up and fits in the back end of my truck with ease. I can get it out during lunch and do a quick run around the parking lot at work. I get home from work late, at dusk, and hop on the Trikke for a quick 30 minute ride/workout around my neighborhood. Two drawbacks are: need more replective material for riding at night for drivers to see me; need to get the upgrade for pneumatic rear wheels. Holy buckets, talk about feeling every little bump in the road. If the the road is not cement, my hands and feet go numb after a while due to the vibration of the road.

Riding the Trikke is great fun and great exercise. I take it for a spin in our neighborhood from time to time, but seldom more than that due to the need for a hard and even surface for a smooth ride. I also find the walkways a little too narrow to drive on as you have to turn the front wheel side-to-side to keep up the speed. It may get better with some practice though. After a 20-30 minutes ride I can feel that my muscles have had a good work-out so it is worth it.
I often have my 6-year old daughter standing on the scooter in front of me. Probably not something that is recommended, but with proper safety equipment and slow speed this has become something we enjoy doing together. I watched the video about how to ride and it took me about 30 minutes of trying before I got to a point where I could get a steady forward motion without using my leg to kick. I can now ride with my legs on the scooter and move forward by shift in balance and turning the front wheel side to side - most of the time. For me, a kick or two is still needed up small hills. In many ways the riding motion reminds me of inline skating, but more stable and involving the whole body. If you want full-body exercise, have access to a hard smooth surface, and want to draw attention - this is a good solution. It will never replace my bike, but is a fun addition.

While the listing showed a T7, it was in fact a T78 (I also double-checked with customer service). The price was great and the shipping was free. The product was delivered within the estimated time frame given. One thing to remember... You do have to assemble the Trikke. It's minor stuff, but you still need some basic skills to do it.
Note: There is a Trikke TV web site that offers the T78 for a cheaper initial price. However, once you add shipping and tax, it's more expensive.

Starting into a serious weight loss program, I found this to be an ideal way to tighten muscles. For a 62 year old, it works.

I purchased this for my wife's Xmas present (at her request). She wanted something she could use for exercise while she walked our large dog. She had been using her bicycle, but the dog tends to run away (sideways), making the bicycle tip dangerously to the side. My wife was worried that she might fall over unexpectedly and break a hip (we're in our sixties). This solves that problem, since her feet are right there at ground level. It's not impossible to fall, but you'd really have to work at it to injure yourself.
I snapped it together without resorting to reading the instructions, and although our research had impressed us with how hard it was to learn the correct motion, she was able to use it on level ground fairly quickly. [Other reviewers have compared it to snow skis, but I thought it was more like rollerblading.] Unfortunately, going uphill was MUCH more difficult and she quickly became frustrated. Over all it is great exercise (she says she's sore in places she didn't know she had), but adults may find the learning curve so frustrating that they quit before it becomes fun.

I've been using my trikke consistently for several months now and absolutely love it. I would recommend this to everyone. I do between 12 to 22 miles at a time several times a week and look forward to it each time. I have MS and am not able to run, walk, or bike for very long due to muscle weakness, but this is perfect. Once you've mastered the ability to use this, you can experiment with shifting your weight slightly and you use different muscles, this really is a full body workout!!!

This is one really fun machine that comes across as great recreation at the same time as getting a completely painless body workout. Couldn't be better.

I'm very impressed with the build quality. However, I find myself not using the Trikke because I live on a hill and have to drive to find a flat area that is free from traffic. Despite having skied and cross-country skied for many years, it has taken me some time and effort to get the right rhythm and I decided that biking is easier, although not as complete a workout.

I purchased this Trikke for my wife's birthday. She loves to snow ski and this scooter movement uses a lot of the same motion. We live in a condo so the folding feature is really good. She is using the Trikke to help her with low impact exercise. She rides it mostly on the tennis courts surfaces at the condo but we really want to upgrade to the rear air tires as the ride is very bumpy on the blacktop parking lot. Overall momma is very happy so a happy momma means happy family. :)
