Amazon.com

Awarded the 2004 Oppenheim Portfolio Platinum Award and the 2004 National Parenting Center seal of approval, the Trikke T5 three-wheeled carving tricycle offers a whole new way of propelling a rider on wheels.

The T5 is recommended for kids between 6 and 11 years old.
The T5--which is designed for kids between 6 and 11--is equipped with the company's patented 3CV technology, which provides a stable three-point platform for the rider. To go forward, the rider simply leans (or carves) into the turn as on a bike or snowboard. The entire T5 will lean with the rider, creating enough momentum to cruise around the campsite, neighborhood, or pretty much anywhere else. It combines the look of a scooter, the feel of a skateboard or snowboard, and the fun of all three.

The T5 offers a number of high-quality features, including a durable steel frame, 5-inch poly wheels, independent rear brakes, steel trailing arms, and colorful foot platforms, handgrips, and windscreens. The T5, which folds up for easy storage, comes in five different colors.

5.0 out of 5 stars trikke scooter, April 27, 2010
This review is from: Trikke Tech T5 Series 3-Wheeled Carving Scooter (Sports)
I have the Trikke 8 and am buying the trikke 5 for my grand daughter. excellent toy, excellent for transportation. Very fun. It takes a little practice (one afternoon for most) to get the rhythm down, but so fun, once you get the hang of it!

2.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat disappointed, April 17, 2009

My daughter likes it, but she usually goes for other ride-on toys first. We've watched the instructional DVD several times and none of the kids are able to make this self-propel like they claim. Save your money and get something they'll enjoy more.

Update: 1/12/2011 - this piece of junk has sat in the garage for the past two years collecting dust. It's been used maybe three times...it just doesn't work as advertised and none of the kids are willing to waste any more time on it. It'll probably go in the garbage this week to make room in the garage.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ehhhh Its ok, February 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought this for one of my kids, because they saw it at the Houston Rodeo and wanted one.
It got here and they were excited.
They watched the included DVD while I put the bolt in place and tightened it down per the instructions.
They took it outside and got after it.
The thrill lasted about 3mo tops.
All 3 kids decided that their ripstiks were more fun.

It is very well made, however the soft wheel material practically vaporizes on our concrete streets. Then you end up riding on bump, bump, bump....

Bottom line from my kids: It looks cooler than it really is, and the first time you see someone on it, its REALLY cool...because its different.
Current status: sitting in my garage un-ridden in months.
