5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Poetry and Prose, April 3, 2006
This review is from: A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose and Thoughts: For The Mind, Body & Soul (Paperback)
This family of poets is sensational. I like how the poems take the reader from one place to the next. I felt like I was visiting a city I had never been to, or to a country I had always dreamed about. Jonathan has a unique way of conveying the thoughts of young adults. Joseph is very insightful in his poetry. Sheila's poems really give you a flavor for island living and food. This is a great book! I like how the combination of the voices of this family intertwine to make this a real trilogy through poetry and prose. I look forward to reading many more of their books. This is definitely a 5 star book. I am recommending it to my book club.

This review is from: A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose and Thoughts: For The Mind, Body & Soul (Paperback)
This is a wonderful book of poetry and prose for everyone to read. It is easy reading and relaxes the mind and body after a long day at work. The different sections written by these three authors are amazing. I commend the family for writing this book as a family project. This shows what a family working together is able to do. Joseph's poems are humorous, Sheila's poems reflect on life and Jonathan is just inspiring. This is a book for all ages to read. I have read it twice already and it is an amazing book of poetry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful Poetry and Prose, April 24, 2006
This review is from: A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose and Thoughts: For The Mind, Body & Soul (Paperback)
"A Trilogy of Poetry, Prose, and Thoughts" by Joseph, Sheila and Jonathan is a delightful work. It is filled with lots of imagery and figurative language. It is a delight to visualize and taste Joseph Spence's Jamaican foods, and taste Sheila's southern cuisine. The young Jonathan Spence is a rising literary star; his poetry and prose are excellently written. The Trilogy Team gives a vivid picture of their lives. It is a masterpiece of 21st Century poetry ; it awakens the five senses. Inspirational!

They have made a significant contribution to the poetic genre.
