All's Fair in Blood and War,
By
This review is from: Trinity Blood, Chapter II (Episodes 5-8) (DVD)
The struggle for existence continues, but the journey is filled with many twisted turns, including a formidable vampire, a bloodsucking tree, and a dangerously beautiful mermaid!
The second volume of Trinity Blood finally sees the characters in the Vatican, and that gives the opportunity for introducing many new AX members. All roads lead to Rome and the Vatican, as Abel, Tres, and Esther set off to meet up with the rest of AX after the death of Gyula and the destruction of Esther's home church in Istavan. Esther's on a new mission, seeking to find herself and the source of her suffering, and new orders from the Vatican may lead to the answer. In these original, never-before-told stories - which you will not find in the Trinity Blood novels - all's fair in blood and war!

What Road Lies Ahead?,

This review is from: Trinity Blood, Chapter II (Episodes 5-8) (DVD)
So far Trinity Blood is has hit a homerun on the first eight episodes. For a series that I had plenty of doubts for, thinking it would turn out to be exactly like Hellsing and completely unoriginal period but it hasn't sopped impressing me. It's got something new every time, just when you think it's going in a predictable direction you're hit with something you didn't see coming. The color and animation is perfect, the voice acting is good but could be better, and for it to have a back-story that's been heard before it excels expectations. Episode 5 starts off with tall, broke, and hungry Abel taking Sister Esther Blanchett to the Vatican to meet Caterina Sforza and others to become part of Ax. This is the more talkative episode on this DVD but everything that happens is of importance. In episode 2 Sword Dancer you're introduced to Father Hugue, one guy that is not to be messed with and trust me his skills are very sharp.
His preferred weapon is looks to be a long stick with nice carvings but somehow it can cut like a katana. Hugue is sent to investigate a murder that occurred on holy ground and ends up saving a girl that never forgets him, or maybe he doesn't save her, I can't remember. Trinity Blood vol.2 actually ends with a very unpredictable seen. Something happens to Abel Nightroad that I thought would never be done but that's what I like the most about this series. You never know what's going to happen next and you never know what new characters will appear. I hope that Trinity Blood stays the way it is because if it does it will go down as a classic. Contains episodes 5-8: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow Sword Dancer Never Land Silent Noise DVD Features: Historical Artifacts, Trailers, Textless Songs. Spoken Languages: English, Japanese, English subtitles.

This guy (on the cover) just blew me away!!! Another interesting character is revealed here! still another Father! Not a vampire though, A Samurai or sword dancer his nickname! a very fatal opponant when using his mysterious sword. I loved this episode. The rest of episodes deal with other stories till the last one, (not complete) in order for you to watch the third chapter. Again, it is interesting and full of suspense.

In a post-apocolytic 31st century world, the Vatican is once again the presever of a lost civilization. Only this times their opponents are vampires. Not the vampires of legend, but vampires created by alien nanomachines. Father Abel Nightroad is an agent for the Vatican's Office of Holy Affairs who works to maintain an uneasy peace between the humans and the Vampire homeland, the Methuselah Empire.
Episodes 5-8 are four stand-alone stories. Enjoy them. Starting with Episode 9 all the episodes are part of continuing stories which spread are spread over continueing DVDs. Episode 5 - FAther Nightroad and Sister Esther Blanchett return to Rome. Sister Noelle Boer gives Esther a tour of Vatican City, while Abel and Cardinal Catherina talk. This episode also tells how Catherina and Abel met. Episode 6 - Another traveling priest from the Vatican, Father Hugh Watteau is sent to Amsterdam to investigate a series of deaths of clergy. Episode 7 - Father Nightroad is partnered with Leon Asturien on an investigation of fairy attacks on ships. On the neverland island they meet Wendy and Peter. Their adoptive father and local mad scientist is Dr. James Barrie. Episode 8 - Father Nightroad and Sister Noelle Boer investigate the collapse of a building in the city of Barcelona. |
