5.0 out of 5 stars Cat and Abel - finally!, July 8, 2007
This review is from: Trinity Blood, Vol. 3 (v. 3) (Comic)
First off, let me just say that I loved the Trinity anime and the mangas. But this is my favorite manga so far. Why? Because *finally* Caterina shows up and gets to be involved.

Esther still annoys me, and I get the feeling she always will. Why oh why is she the main female character, when there is the cool and calm Caterina and the lovable Noelle?

Some time has passed since we last saw our intrepid group. Esther is now a full Sister rather than a novice. Caterina shares with Abel that she has contacted the vampires in an attempt to open up diplomatic negotiations. A vampire imprisioned in Sant Angelo frees itself (hard to tell if it's really a guy or a gal...) and intends to assassinate Caterina. Esther encounters this vampire and almost gets killed by it, only to be rescued by Abel. Meanwhile, the hopeful ally, Ion Fortuna, is mistaken by Tres for the assassin, and is shot. Cursing the Vatican and humans, Ion flees. Abel attempts to find him, when the truth of the matter is discovered. Esther ignores an order, tags along, and almost screws up the whole thing. Francesco's Inquisitors decide that now is an excellent time to crash the party, and that's when things get truly interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars TB MANGA 3, August 26, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Trinity Blood, Vol. 3 (v. 3) (Comic)
TB Manga 3 covers the time after Esther arrived in Rome. If you've seen the anime episode: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow - forget it. Another story tells of a vampire escapee from the Vatican prisons, who wants to kill Cardinal Caterina to win favor with the Methuselah Empress.

The last part of this book deals with the Vatican' s attempt to open diplomatic relations with the Empire.(The Ibelis story line.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Plot Thickens - Ion and Radu introduced! Cat - jelouse?!, October 4, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Trinity Blood, Vol. 3 (v. 3) (Comic)
Ah yes, I've seen the anime and read the Canon. I've also happened to read all the way to chapter 37 of the manga as of now, and I must say - it becomes far and far more interesting. Those of you who base your opinions off of the anime, do not - the manga is far better than the anime and stays far truer to the story intended. Now then, as for my review:

*SPOILERS AHEAD*!!!!!

--SPOILERS AHEAD!!!-----

In this novel we find Esther finally a true nun. We see her developing some jelousy towards the "relationship" she sees between Abel and Cat. Well, little does she know Abel's still head over heels for Lillith...ANYHOW.... A vampire escapes and slaughter's some poor victims and then targets Esther, Esther being as cunning and heroic as she is manages to survive and succesfully re-capture the Methuslah. Later on we see Cat begening to develop a flare of jelousy. It seems Abel likes Esther in her point of view.....

Two vampires from the human Empire come and - well, things get messy. Lots of misunderstandings (espeacially on Esther's part), and... You get how it becomes.

Eventually things seem to work out, until Brother Petros buts in with mental issues, and Radu tries to thwart his best *cough* only*cough* friend, Ion. The art is stupendus, as always, and I forgot to study last night for today's test because I read it instead. ;^-^ So, yes, it's highly addicting and tres magnifique! :P

----

(I can't wait to buy the latest English manga of this novel, faaaar easier to read than in Chinese XD.)
