Both fun and useful!,

This is a hymnal, true, but it's such a good one! My church has used it since its publication and the previous edition before that. In addition to its use as a reference material because of its inclusion of many congregational readings and creeds, a hymnal is always useful as a devotional book. Enjoy... and sing praises to God!

The TH is an excellent hymnal: well-constructed, highly systematic in its thematic categorizations, and replete with excellent tunes. The singles and youth of my church refer to many of our faves by number. But to the outsider, foolishness. I once said the same, but have come to see the value of a time-tested collection of godly poetry and song. --Open your mind, you might actually get something out of it!
