Wandering through my local library I saw this CD and took it home for a listen. WOW!!!The wonderful choir and organ sound beautiful together. The stand out tracks are generally found at the last part of the disc,tracks 11-16 which is "Evensong". The disc is a varied collection of choral and organ music for the three principal services of the day. The Disc is worth it just for those tracks alone. It is almost like your in the church with them. On a side note,if your looking for a subwofer this is a great test disc!! It brought my HSU sub to life. I have heard good recordings but that organ makes your subwoofer earn it's keep! If your shopping for subs this should be on your short. |
