It was handy to be able to only order the eggs after the 4yr old spilled the first packet of the dust sized eggs. A few hatched. Two got good sized. Then one turned cannibal and ate half his friend. The murderer lasted another week or so- about 60 days all together- and got up to 1 1/2 inches before he died of unknown causes. Possibly guilt or indigestion. Kids took it pretty well and enjoyed them while they lasted.

I got Triopolis for my brother, because he wanted triops, and I got him this. He loves it! It has 5 chambers, (assuming arranged like a + sign,) a center chamber, up, down, left, and right. eciting instructions: 1. pour water into container. 2. pour everything in ( directed as in instructions!!!) 3.wait a day or so. 4. see your new TRIOPS IN TRIOPOLIS!!! they do flips, jumps, and more tricks!!! no teaching required. you can also buy extra triops with food, as tagged below.

I love the little prehistoric cannibals. Triops are great pets and are great for classroom experiments. The ONLY problem I have encountered is that triops do not always hatch out of every egg(meaning you may put in 30 eggs and get 15 triops). I have done this many times, and I love the service. I was lucky enough to get it on the "Get this by Tomorrow" promotion. Overall, it's a great product and VERY fun. I find it really cool to see the little dudes grow so fast. plus the eggs keep longer than most eggs of other animals do (haha).

DID NOT HATCH, bought 2ND ORDER AND STILL DID NOT HATCH

I've bought multiple packs of triops and have raised them many times. It seems that lately it's difficult to find triops that actually hatch. I've had one completely bum packet of eggs and this last one only two hatched. Still, the triops themselves are supercool and freaky. My seven year old likes them just as much as I do.

Follow the direction closely but none of the eggs hatched. Temperature, sunlight, water, everything was nice and proper but nothing happened after 72 hours. On the other hand, the Sea Monkey we purchased at the same time hatched after 24 hours... We were so looking forward to this, even with its limited lifespan of a few months. Oh well!

The triops are awsome little creatures, with quite a lot of personality. The disappointing part was only 2 of them hatched.

I've purchased these eggs before in the complete set (bowl and conditioner included). We bought these other eggs to raise another bunch of triops. They are very interesting creatures. If its your first time buying these, then get the full set with the bowl and water conditioner and instructions. Follow the instructions exactly to have the most success with these. Once the eggs have hatched, you'll be amazed at how fast these creatures grow.

This is a neat product. The triops grow fairly large so far. It is alot of fun.

My husband uses these in his classroom. The kids love them, but he does even more! This was his second batch and he is "hooked"!
