Good Coverage of Fire Apperatus.,

I am a volunteer in public education for a large fire department and am always looking for books to read to children. This book has a very interesting approach. Real full color pictures of a class trip to the fire station are used to illustrate the story. This book thoroughly covers the fire department, including the dispatch center. It also shows pictures of a wide variety of fire apperatus. The only major flaw in this book is the lack of a fire safety message.

I bought this book after my son had gone to a firehouse with his school. It starts out alright but when the book starts showing how the calls come in the technology is WAY off. It shows old computers and does not even come close to todays advances.
