Just as a note: these were purchased for Roller Derby. I have found that these elbow pads slip really badly. I am constantly pulling them up and refastening them. Also, they left really dark bruises at the tops of my arms on the inside and the out where the seams come together. I don't think that my issues were fit issues because I have tried several sizes of these, I think it was more of a design issue. I think the bottom line is that these will work for a while or maybe if you are new and unsure if you want to invest a lot up front but if you are serious about playing, I would recommend going with Smith's or Killers. I just bought a pair of Smiths to replace these and I love them. The difference is night and day.

After much adieu, reading all the reviews etc, I ordered these for roller derby to replace my crappy walmart ones. Well, they just arrived and they ROCK, definitely quality & you can't tell online that they are the kind that slip over your arm AND have the velcro straps as well (which is what I was hoping for). I can't wait to get to practice with these! Also I ordered large, I weigh about 280 but have a petite frame with chubby arms and they fit great.

I have had these less than 1 month, and the seams that hold the velco to the fabric are already tearing. I am not rough with my equipment, so needless to say, I will not buy this brand any more. I was not that happy with my knee pads, but have learned my lesson and will buy another brand in the future.

This is my second pair. Not because they fall apart easy, but because I use them. And you can't expect something you use on a daily basis to work forever. So, after 1 year… i bought a new pair. I like my elbows, I fall on my elbows… a lot. And Triple 8 protects them.

The product came on time just fine but I've only used them 8 times and a seam is already ripping. These are pretty expensive and Triple 8 is supposed to be a good brand. Hopefully I'll be able to sew it up myself.

I wore these for less than a month and the seam at the top has already busted open. It's right next to the velcro. I've never had any other brand of elbow pad show wear and tear that quickly.

I bought these about a month into fresh meat training for flat track quad derby. I used the measurement / sizing description from the manufacturer website and I found the fit to be correct. At first I thought I couldn't get them tight enough, but after some movement and working up activity on the track, they were perfect. The sleeve is going to simply fit, not snugly and not loosely; that is how it is supposed to fit. The straps don't cut into my arm and circulation because of the buffering of the sleeve and because I am able to buckle them for a close fit and adjust the tightness as I go through my drills and workout.

I have yet to use them in bouts, but they are good protection and reasonably priced for the good protection when you are going to be falling the most. I would recommend them to dabblers and those just getting started in quad derby. You might as well spend the $30 or so bucks now and avoid the hundreds to thousands on a hospital bill if you were to fall on your arm or break your elbow wearing cheap pads or no padding at all.

I ordered a large based on the sizing table. They are a bit tight. They fit and seem to be good quality but they aren't as comfy as I would like. I think they run a little small.
